Podcasting is a must to fully understand concepts. The questions become easier once you learn his writing style. Half of the questions were true/false so he tricks you by changing a word so read everything carefully. He drops questions more than 50% of the classes misses and you can get bonus points. 90-100% is a solid A and over 100% is an A+.

The fact that almost 50% of the class received a solid A as their final grade speaks for itself. The lectures are dense and full of information, but simply understand the basics and you'll do fine. Podcasting is a must. Makeup tests are completely free response so beware. Average grade on every test was a solid A. Absolutely recommend.

Dr. Stott is AMAZING! He does not try to trick you on tests, is clear about what he wants from his students, and is very lenient with grading. The class average was an A-! He tests us on the bigger pictures, instead of small details, which is very refreshing. Study and you will get a A. One of the best classes I have ever taken!

There are 3 exams which aren't cumulative and there' son curve. I didn't have any practice exams so this class was a bit more difficult for me. Definitely go to class or listen to all the podcast. I listened to them a couple times because he elaborates on certain slides and puts them on his exams. Second midterm was a lot harder.

Dr. Stott is such a great guy once you get past his long tangents in lecture. If you focus in and really listen to what he's saying, you'll find that he repeats himself a lot which is great for really getting the concepts down. Find old practice tests and you will be absolutely set for all the tests.

The material is interesting but he's not good at explaining concepts so watch youtube vids to get background knowledge. He podcasts. Get past exams bc they help A TON. 90 and above was an "A" . No curve but he offered grade adjustments by getting rid of questions if too many ppl got it wrong. Exam 1 & 3 were easy but 2 was sorta hard.

He tries to compensate for his not so effective teaching style by making grade adjustments on the midterms. Immunology isn't a joke. If you fall behind, it will be a nightmare. Podcast the lectures and get a hold of old exams. They help A LOT. 90 and above is a solid A for us. So glad it's over. would never take him again.

I never showed up and just podcasted all lectures 1 day before the exam and got an A. I did better than some ppl who came to class BC the info is fresh in my mind since I podcasted the night before. His exams are not specific. Don't get hung up on details. What you learn from just listening to podcast (without taking notes) is enough for an A.

Enjoyable class. No final, just three midterms. A lot of information on midterms but lectures are podcasted which is great for studying. No curve but he removes a question if 50% or more of the class misses it. Lectures are interesting - I never got bored in this class.

Prof stott is extremely knowledgable about immunology and sometimes goes on tangents but they are always interesting to listen to. His lectures follow his slides but you definitely have to pay attention or podcast. He doesn't expect us to know every little detail but you do need to familiarize yourself with many little details. reviews are helpful

For an immunology course, this course is pretty watered down and not hard to do well in. 3MT, no final. It's pretty hard to go to class during winter qtr, but he podcasts everything so it's MUCH BETTER if you just sleep and podcast later. Not a tricky tester. Straightforward and is extremely helpful if you go to his reviews. No curve, so 90-100=A

Very easy and straight-forward class. Podcasts everything and does not try to trick you. Exams are not difficult if you review what he says (do not focus on memorizing slides, just know whatever he says). Would recommend! Nice grading scheme w/ no final.

Professor Stott was alright. Early, but I had Anatomy at 7:00 AM WF, so wasnt too much of a problem for me. He teaches off of his slides that he provides, and some exam questions do come from what he says in class. 3 MTs and no Final is nice. No real curve, just grade adjustments. I recommend getting past exams, they will help a lot.

This class is very sloppy and way to early in the morning, especially during winter quarter. Also, make sure to listen to podcast and watch YouTube videos on the cell biology aspect, so you can get a better understanding of what is going on in class. 3 midterms and no final.

This class is about is mellow as it gets for Immunology. The tests are straight-forward,ad are curved nicely. The lectures were generally straightforward, though it could be easy to lose one's place at times. Study the figures and concepts he covers in class (he'll tell you when you don't need to know a slide) and you should be golden! Good class

This class is a joke. If you're looking for some serious GPA boosting then sign up immediately. Dr. Stott is a nice guy but waters immunology down a lot for this class. It was interesting at points, and extremely repetitive at others. First A+ I've gotten at Davis in an upper div science class though, take it and your GPA will be happy

Podcasted and never writes on the board, the class should be easy if you try, but I didn't. He's very straightforward, so just ask questions and make sure to put in a reasonable effort considering there is so much to learn. The hardest part is there only being 3 M/C exams, which for me meant a bad grade since I'm better at free response.

Prof Stott is very sweet. He was very helpful in asking questions during lab. There was 3 midterms and NO FINAL! Midterms were easy. This class is a pretty easy upper division class if you just go to class. He kinda lectures fast and some of the slides he talks about is not tested, but he'll tell you that.
