I took his psych of Love class during the summer and it was horrible. He is making a class that should not be that hard EXTREMELY hard. It is almost impossible to get an A and he doesnt give you full credit on anything.

If you show up to class EVERY DAY and participate in the daily graded discussions four times per day, you will make a good grade. Every time you miss a day, it is 2.5% off of your total grade, which is pretty unfair. You get no free absences. As long as you remember the basics of a couple of studies from each discussion, you will do fine on tests.

I really liked Dr. Lord and his Psych of Love class. His lectures can be boring at times but he knows his stuff very well and tries to be very clear. His class was straight forward on expectations-3 tests and discussion grades. I would recommend him and I plan to take him again for Social Psych. I studied the night before the exams and got an A.

Easy class, mostly b/c of the TA. Take Sr. Seminar with Lord instead of Barth. Lectures are not that interesting though. It's just review of old experiments. Tests are easy.

BOOOORRRRIIING!!! Not a writing emphasis but still a 20 page lit review! Very hard because half the time he grades your work, the other half his TA does, it's hard to please them both with mostly essay questions that they each grade differently! In love with his book- 1997!! A social science book!! Time for a new book with updated info! BORING!!!

LOVES to talk & his lectures go over every time. We have essay tests every class and you have to read & listen to lectures to do well on them. Plus you must write a 14 pg paper to get an A now (new this sem.)His TA is the only way I'm doing OK. Glad I'm taking it P/F!

Not writing emphasis-quizzes over reading and lecture every class which were easy if you did the reading (he wrote the text, mostly interesting). TA taught half the class, but both good teachers. He's very funny and smart, but sometimes his lectures went too long and we had to rush through the tests

Tons of lecture in 3 weeks. Sometimes boring lectures. Tests are all essay but he looks for ways to give you points. Read the book!! The stuff makes up a large part of the tests, but just the big general things. Go to class and study and I got an A.
