she doesn't really listen to other peoples' opinions, unless they're just regurgitating what she already said. philosophy classes especially should include discussion and debate. i had a hard time doing either of those because she either didn't want to listen to or didn't understand what i was talking about.

She is definitely an opinionated person and has no problem calling students out if she disagrees with you or if you don't do the work. But overall she is a good teacher and is willing to be flexible with the class so that everyone can understand the material. The class isn't bad if you put in a little work.

I'm not sure of what people say about "favorites." Her expectations are really not too much. For a college class, reading and participation is what a student basically need to do. I think those who say she plays favorites are those not working hard enough. I did the work and I really enjoyed her class. Indeed, you can get a lot from those readings.

PLAYS FAVORITES...its her way or the highway, very opinionated, if you aren't a phil. major and hate it do not take this class, she is probably my least favorite teacher ever. I can't even understand why she has a smiley face next to her name...she is terrible, absolutely horrible

She loves to play favorites with her students. If she likes you, expect an easy A. If she hates or dislikes you, do not expect an A at all, B if you create a work of art, but expect everything to be a C at most. Also, if you are greek (fraternity/sorority), NEVER EVER wear your letters or anything greek!

Charlotte plays favorites. If you have an easy time understanding the material, she will grade you much more harshly. I don't know if this is because she thinks you are showing off or she wants to challenge you. She mocks the class incessantly, but with a sweet little smile on her face. I like her, anyway. She is funny and smart.
