i have had karen for three classes and she is an amazing professor! I have learned so much and I have really improved over the last two semesters b/c of all her help! She is always so willing to help out in anything! I am sad she won't be around st. thomas next year :(

Best professor I have ever had. I learned more in this class than any other and in a fun and excited environment. If you want a professor that truly cares to see you do well and will help you - Dr. Boros is just that. She is encredibly smart & talented & applies her own experiences working w/ Dan Rather etc. to her class. BRAVO! I would take her!!!

horrible broadcast professor. Tells the same non-relavent stories over and over. I learned nothing from this class and unfortunately she is the only person teaching it. She talkes about nothing other than herself and has no interest in helping people learn. Its her way, or a poor grade. Horrible professor

Excellent Prof!!! She knows what she is talking about and is always willing to help. She has lots of experience in every field and lots of good stories! Very good class to take, no finals or tests and you can do re-writes on almost all assigments.

Amazing Prof!!! Our entire class loves her. She is a lot of fun to talk to and gives a lot of personal insight into the class! By far my, and others in my class's fav. professor ever. Loved her! I would highly recommend!! Plus, we always get out at least 20 minutes early!

She is a good teacher, some of her stories are really interesting. Class always gets done early but you do need to go! I hardly spent any time on the assignments and would just redo according to her corrections and got great grades. She really knows what she is talking about!

Media Writing with Boros is very easy. You can rewrite all assignments. No tests or final. She has great stories and experiences. You will only get out of it what you put into it. Talk to her outside of class if you think you aren't improving your writing, otherwise you really won't.

Decent prof. Everything is explained in detail and she will answer any and all questions. She also has lots of real world experience and will fill the class in on her life experiences occasionally. Papers and projects are very easy and you can redo them to inprove the grade and there is no final.

Do NOT take her for Media Writing. She is a better teacher for broadcast. She knows very little about AP Style (I had to argue with her several times and point out things in the AP Stylebook). Her class was pretty easy though. Unfortunately, I didn't learn anything. Take Barget instead!

Even though there are no books used in this class, she draws on her own experiences from her days as a reporter. The things she says may seem pointless, but now that I'm interning at a news station, everything that she taught us was legit. She's awesome and tells it as it is.

Karen Boros- She is an Ok teacher but her media writing and info gathering class is really easy. It is alot of work but you get to rewrite all of her papers, and she tells you exactly what she wants. Highly recomended... and there are always hott girls in the class!

She may be a good teacher for writing, but not broadcast. Going to class is pointless, she doesn't teach you anything, there are no books required for the class, so you can't learn by reading the book. I was frustrated by this class because you don't learn how to make good broadcast stories from her

Karen is a fun professor. There are no tests, but a lot of busy work. A lot of times, going to class is pointless (except for getting the new assignment). No matter what you do, you'll get a B If you don't try you'll get a B, and if you work hard, a B.
