WORST TEACHER EVER. Assignments are completely confusing and unclear, with no instruction on how to do well. She never answers students questions, and never gives good feedback on how to improve. She went an entire semester without posting one grade, and sent us our final grades 3 weeks after the semester ended. She's rude and a terrible educator

Professor Boots is often misunderstood; she truly cares about her students. Her class is difficult but if you talk to her in office hours you can get a better sense of how she wants you to approach her course. She's also very warm and polite, especially if you show her that you're a genuinely hard worker.

Professor Boots will help you develop a framework of understanding for western art, literature, and music. Before taking this class, I had little interest in the non-philosophical aspect of Humanities. Now I see that the fun in analyzing art is in forming your own opinions. My trip to Paris was much more meaningful after taking this course!

Avoid. Assignments are usually unclear, and she often corrects them via email later before the due date. Tough grader. Ineffective at teaching art history. Left the class knowing the name of a lot of paintings but knowing nothing about them. Studying for her exams are excruciating due to her vague study guides. Occasionally lenient w/ due dates.

Says humanities but is really an art history class. She is obsessed with corny classical music and will try to force it on you. Unclear grading criteria and lots of busy work. She thinks very highly of her own opinion and very little of yours. My least favorite teacher/class at Boston University.

Ask a lot of questions because its likely that you'll almost never have a clue what you're supposed to be doing. She's cool though, and really funny. Have a conversation with her because she has a lot to say. Shes very interesting and you feel like taking people to a museum with you so you can show off the cool art stuff you've learned.

Good luck everyone. Be prepared to have the most unclear instruction available. And asking questions? Forget it unless you want an even more vague answer wrapped in sarcasm and attitude. This class is an utter waste of time, money and energy.

Where to start... I have not once encountered someone that even mildly enjoyed being in her class. She seems sweet at first, but ends up being extremely rude and snappy. Also, I don't think she has ever been even remotely clear with her assignments, and sends emails constantly to correct her mistakes. Everything about the class is dreary.

I absolutely LOVED Professor Boots. She was a fantastic woman and completely inspired me to take a deeper interest in Humanities. I only had her for one semester because prior to entering her class I had a god awful HU professor (the main reason i switched) Luckily, I found my way to Boots class where I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere she created.

Professor Boots should be a high school teacher. She is nice but very unorganized and her instructions are unclear. She grades very unfairly and it's almost impossible to get an A in her class, even if you completely nailed the material.

Prof. Boots is a very fun and super nice teacher. She gives you the questions before the exams and grades fairly. She doesn't provide any feedback however into why you received the grade that you did and she also comes off as not very knowledgeable in some areas. Overall, she was a great teacher and fun to be around. She also sings.

Boots is awesome - She's kind of weird but she is so nice and will help you if you need anything! The class was really easy - she gives you the questions before tests therefore I never went to lecture and still got A's or B's. Her lectures ramble on and kind of irrelevant.. the class was boring but she's awesome - she made it bearable!

She was one of my favorite professors! I really was able to learn for her. I did well in her class. As long as you read and listened to her lectures, the class was easy. She was super helpful.

Had her for 101 and 102. She is a very nice lady & enthusiastic about the subject. This was helpful because I could not care less about what we learned about. She made it bearable. However, I did feel babied in her discussions. She also sang songs to us. Tough grader. Topics are vague and conferences don't help much. She made an effort to know me.

Well, first of all, she's one of the nicest/most helpful teachers i've ever had. With that being said, I didn't understand the point of the class. I learned some stuff, but not enough. I think she's a fine teacher, but maybe needs better class material/textbook/ paper topics.

I felt like I was in kindergarten, it was a stupid class, pretty easy. You just have to pretend like you care and **** your way through the course. BS is the only thing you will need to succeed.
