Excellent teacher. I failed her class but she is the best possible teacher at NCC. There is no possible better teacher. Make sure you get her!

She is a very fair person. If you speak with her about any concerns she is more then willing to help and I definitely enjoyed her. Alot of other people in my class had a hard time learning the material and alot of the information was self taught. If you pay attention in class and put in effort you'll be fine.

At the beginning of semester, she start starts of with quizzes and test, after a week of lecturing. Only three students are passing this far and were in November, classes end next month. She is a very nice person, but she doesn't explain the subject well. Professor Lin method of teaching is awkward, then what was expected.

Prof. Lin is great I don't know what people are talking about on here. The people who say bad things about her probably didn't do their work. She is a good teacher but she won't just hand out A's if you don't deserve them. You have to show up and pay attention in class, do your homework and study for the exams. she will help if she sees effort.

when i saw her rating as 1 i thought she wasn't as bad as the rating said but now that i'm halfway through the class she really is a terrible teacher when students ask for help she says i just explained it whole class is failing tests overall lousy class

Not helpful at all. If you have to take this course, you're better off taking another professor. Even though I went to extra help and had tutoring lessons; I still managed to fail her tests. I guess it was all for nothing. Never again...

Very hard to understand. It could be a very easy topic but her style of teaching is just writing it on the board and she says "why you no get it" hint the Chinese tone of speech. Basically you will be teaching yourself while you do your homework. Godspeed

i loved her, shes the best professor yet. with i could have her in 002. she was very helpful and tried to make sure everyone understood the work. i would suggest her to anyone who has trouble with math.

Class is very hard, but I needed to pass, if you talk to her she will help you out but very hard to understand during class. Doesn't teach, just tells, if you ask for help though she will give it to you. Dropped my 2 lowest grade, gave us a retake for the 4 tests we took. Passed with D+

i don't know why she's gotten so many bad ratings. i had her for mat100 and i'm taking mat101 with her this semester. the classes are hard, but she devotes a lot of her time to helping students that are struggling. she is strict, but she's caring and definitely there to help you.

Honestly, I do not like to give bad ratings, but she is a horrible teacher. She has a pretty strong accent that does get in the way of her explaining things. She treats her students as if they are children and does not teach math the way many students need to be taught. Drop her class.

Make sure you don't have her as a professor if you do drop the class asap, she is terrible, she does not explain anything well enough for you to understand and she goes to the next topic right away, she speeds through everything. Pro.Lin helps you out, if you don't understand something and you ask her right then and there to go over it she will.Gives out homework almost every night but does go over it the next day if you need help.You need the textbook daily, don't miss class you need the notes.She gives a lot of chances to get extra credit to pick up your grade.Take her!
