I'm really suprised by some of the negative comments. I found him to be a great prof. He does talk fast and say ummm a lot but who cares. He really knows his stuff and tries to keep it interesting for the students. Go to class, take notes and pay attention. You'll get an A. That's more then I can say for a lot of the other profs at smu.

He is a very nice man, but he pauses alot and says Umm.He also talks alot about how Chocolate is better than sex,and how if you are going to get high to study, you better get high to take the test..He goes on about different things not important to the class.But very nice,I missed an exam and he gave me the same mark as the exam before,which was B+

Great prof. always says alright which can be annoying because that seems to be all you hear after awhile. Fair marker but assignments and exams are detailed.

taught from slides that he ran through too quickly, but explained thigs well enough. Midterms were very focused on detail that was easily missed from the text book, but was really fair with marking essays and bonus marks. (always lets class out early)

I will NEVER take another class with this guy EVER again. He's a decent lecturer, but if you need help, or have to talk with him one on one, he's a condescending jerk. If you read the book, you'll do fine; but avoid this guy like the plague, because despite the fact that the class is relatively easy, he'll make it hell for you. AVOID.

WORST PROFF EVER! I hated this guys tests, hardest MC of my life. I am pretty much an A student, but never did well on his test. The book is bull, it is too easy to read, and the proff makes questions that are worded very hard, and are way out there. Good friggen luck, he sucks.

This guy is a jerk in class and outside of class. He does not have a Ph.D. but refers to himself as "Doctor". The only great thing about his classes are gives the same test. Just get old tests and you will get an A+. But the bad thing is that you learn diddly squat!! It is your choice!!

Amazing prof!!!! Great at getting the point across, funny as hell and lets you out of class early. Tests are quite easy, but you must read the book as well as the notes, if not, you will do bad. I recommend having him at least once!! Very approachable and fair.

Honestly, one of the strangest profs I've ever encountered. A lot of people don't really seem to like him--and at first I was iffy about him too. He is however a decent guy--his lectures can be pretty interesting, and he 'can' be funny on occasion. Really laid back, and never lets class run for the full hour and 15. All in all, he's pretty ok.

Vic is hilarious. Can't forget to mention the daily talks of toking up and eating chocolate! The lectures are somewhat interesting, and he puts the slides up on the net. Read the book and the slides, and you'll get a good mark. Good elective for science students too!
