His classes lack immediate business purpose, but over time, I have referenced a large amount of my knowledge from his classes. BUT for the real world, his stuff is extremely valuable. I had Professor Herbison for a "Black Experience in America" course at KU in 2004. He expressed genuine interest and concern for his students and continually developed new curriculum and teaching methods to bring the course material to life. He was the best teacher I had during my undergrad degree at KU. He truly inspires his students.

EXCELLENT TEACHER. Makes his expectations very clear and has high standards for his students but he is extremely helpful to students. A very caring teacher and human being, extremely interesting and led great class discussions in a class of 120 people.

Professor Herbison is the BEST professor that I had during my entire undergraduate career at KU!! He personally mentored me until I completed my degree and now that I look back on those days from the work world I realize how much he actually did care. Chico is definately the best professor i have had yet. class discussions are always amazing, His material challenges you .he's also an awesome mentor and will help you in pretty much any aspect he can if you ask. take a class with him or if you cant then get to know him and it will make your college experience a lot happier.
