This is a very difficult class, but Dr. Tin is one of the better professors to take. He curves the class as an 85 is an A and is generally pretty helpful during office hours.

Gives bonus on your tests for going to class. GO TO CLASS. The tests are multiple choice but he scales them so that makes up for the lack of partial credit. I am a chem major and had no interest in physics but still had to take eng. physic. Makes the class as easy as possible. He is the best. Take him at all costs. I had to take a 7pm lab. Worth it

If you have to take Engineering Physics, take it with Tin. I wish I would have gone to class, because the bonus points for attendance would have boosted my grade. Great grade scale, and he sometimes scales the tests. Down side? Multiple choice tests with no partial credit. You can get your test if you meet privately. Much better than other teachers

He takes attendance for extra credit, but does it at random so go to class. The 3 tests are multiple choice and the final is comprehensive. There are quizzes before lab. The class as a whole could be better, but it was the best physics class offered at the time and probably still is.

Take Tin! His grading scale really is the best, and his tests are not that hard. He tells you the types of problems that will be on them the day before. Go to office hours-he's very helpful, and I wish I had gone more than once. Do the MasteringPhysics, go to class (extra credit!), and try some of the book problems. The final is terrible.

This class is difficult regardless of who your teacher is. He has a great grading scale and curves most of his tests, but my best advice is to get as high of a grade on everything prior to the final as possible. His final is extremely difficult. I had a mid A going into the final bombed it and ended with a very low B.

VERY lenient grading scale. Not the best at explaining every detail or way to work a problem. Doesn't use numbers for his examples often. Definitely not hard to get a A or B in the class. Lab is pretty easy; except for quizzes (they're horrible). Does clicker quizzes for attendance in class. I would definitely recommend.

Physics blows and Tin is about the only one who can teach it... kind of. I managed to get a B (barely) but only because of his points scale. I suggest paying attention to every detail you can. This isn't a class to zone out and figure it out later... cause you wont.

Dr Tin is the best physics professor Auburn has. He is a great guy, funny, approachable, and helpful. He wants his students to do well, and understands his class is not the only one you have. His 15 point scale is AMAZING! His tests and especially the final are ridiculous, but still they are do-able. Just go to class and pay attention. TAKE him!!

Tin is a probably the best teacher at auburn. His three tests are ok, and he sometimes gives extra points for attendence. If you have him, I would get as high as possible on the three tests because his final is hellish. I had an A going into his final, and failed the final. It brought me down a letter grade, which happened to a lot of people.

The material for this class is hard, not the teacher. Dr. Tin makes it as easy as he can. His grading scale is the best. He really is the best professor you can get for Engineering Physics I. Don't take any of the others. His tests aren't hard, but the final is tough.

By far the best physics professor you can get at Auburn. His test are difficult, but the majority of the class is grunt work. Oh by the way, he uses a 15 point scale. So 85 is an A, 70 is a B, and so on.

His tests are pretty easy, except for the final. He tells you exactly what type of each problem is going to be on the test the lecture before. He is kind of hard to follow in class and not the best with explanations but he puts powerpoints online. Enjoyed his sense of humor.

Had him for engineerin phyiscs I. TAKE HIM all other prof are freaking hard.3 Tests are giving which are multiple choice and not that hard, you can try to plug in answers. Final is 25 questions and it was hard (last few questions were). 84 above is an A. Will cruve tests which is OK. Dont buy book.

The ciriculum for the class is hard, not the professor. Dr. Tin is really funny, and is a great teacher. His tests sometimes have errors, but he will fix it. He curves ok. Final is really difficult, especially the last sections. Do the homework before lab, it helps. Textbook not required, but useful.

Great Teacher. curves alot, I think he said an 80 was an A. that seems easy and I thought so too but the final was awful, nothing like the tests or previous work. If you do all the assignments you will do fine, but there are a lot of them.
