Comment:

Overall, he is good. He gave an extra credit worth two percentage points. He takes attendance and uses it to see if he will bump you up or not. He likes to tell stories about himself and his sons. One annoying thing is he talks a lot while you're taking his tests. Tests are like the homework and the in class problems. Very helpful during office hrs

Govil is a very good-hearted person who cares about students and wants them to succeed. He doesn't have much focus and sometimes goes off topic. The exams are a lot like the homework, and he claims the exams are the same difficulty, but some were much harder. Practice the homework a lot and you'll make an A.

What a legend. This man is probably my favorite professor I've ever had. Gives a very good idea on what the tests will be on, just do those example problems and you are good. Every once in a while he will give some random side lectures about his past and they are all gold.

Comment:

Probably one of the most fair math professors I have have ever taken. The in class examples cover everything you need for the test. Both the book and his optional homework are unnecessary if you take good notes. He doesn't expect you to be able to solve complex integrals or derivatives. He just makes sure you know the material. Two thumbs up.

Govil is a very caring professor. He gives you all the tools you need to succeed in his class. Make sure to do every homework problem he assigns you! He pulls them for exams. Go to class and keep up! Falling behind is bad news. Great Professor. Lets you drop your lowest exam score.

Dr. Govil is a very nice man and will try to help you as much as he can if you go to see him. He typically will offer bonus points at some point - do your best to ensure you get these. His tests aren't what I'd call easy, but he lays it out for you. He pretty much tells you what is on the final. He is a good teacher. Better than others for sure

He is the worst teacher I could of ever gotten. It is impossible to understand him when he speaks. I had a tutor and still failed the class because his tests gave no partial credit and were completely unfair. He is a horrible, horrible teacher, do not take him unless you know all the information already.

Dr. Govil was a great professor. Although his tests were tricky, he would always make sure you understood the material. I would suggest going to see him as much as possible if you have trouble also utilize the math help people too, then you should be just fine :)

Awful!!!!!!! He is a very nice person, but unfortunately being nice doesn't help your students learn. Very hard. Would never review, but instead would go on to sections for the next test which was pointless. Test were ectremely difficult.

Dr. Govil is an extremely nice professor. He is very difficult to understand, and his tests can be tricky. I ended up with a 88 in his class, but he rounded my grade up to an A because I had perfect attendace. He gives partial credit for problems too. He isn't that bad overall.
