Prof. Carone teaches straight out of the textbook, which is fine by me since it's a fantastic textbook. He's a nice guy and teaches clearly and completely. Tests were conceptually easy enough but difficult to do in 50 mins. Homework assignments were short and not difficult. Also, I thought this class was easier than PHYS 201.

Without a doubt the best professor I've ever had. Ever. Unbelievably clear, always helpful. Read the textbook before coming to class, spend lots of time on the homework (it's worth it for the exams), and you will get an A. The exams are not difficult, just LONG. Expect a time crunch.

Carone is a great lecturer. His lectures are very clear and concise, and he's really entertaining and fun to listen to. The exams are definitely hard, but doable if you study. He also gives tons of partial credit which makes them not so bad. Overall, he's great. One of my favorite professors at William and Mary.

I think he is a great instructor; if I could just sit and listen to him talk about physics I would. The problem is he does not take enough time to work out example problems so the homework sets become extremely hard. Also the tests never appear to have the right equations on the sheets, but this is usually made up for with a pretty generous curve

He explicitly told us not to memorize equations but then didn't put them on the equation sheet. When he lectures it's like he's speaking another language. I'm dropping physics as a major because of him, and I'm not the only one.
