Professor Chima was very good at demanding control of both the subject of economics and class interaction. He took an otherwise difficult and boring subject and taught it with real life examples and humor-which was greatly needed when studying economics during an evening class from 6-10pm. well, Professor chima has a take it or leave it attitude with his students. He expects you to ask question, read your book and show up for class. The only complaint i have is when we review for a test. He expects us to ask question and he when try to answer them, so if no one has a question then he will end class.

Very Intelligent. An alumni from USC. Unfortunately, his class is very hard. His test have nothing to do with his lectures or the book! doesn't answer students questions. Avoid taking him. Although i read the book i still didn't pass the class. Ruined my GPA! Dont recommend him at all. Take Freed instead!!!

He's funny becuase he's completly different culturally. He's VERY smart, but he's just not an effective professor. His tests come from a "test bank" and they have NOTHING to do with his lectures or the book. He's not hard - he just doesn't make too much sense sometimes. But I hope one day he follows his dream - becoming a big time rapper...!!! LOL!

Yeah! I agree with the comments that are being left. This professor is very knowledgable. But his material that he lectures has nothing to do with his exams. He tells all the students to read the book thoroughly and do his study guides. Nothing is from either. You have to read the book at least twice because he pulls questions out of nowhere .

Worst professor at CSUDH!!! His highest grade on a exam is a "C" (on a curve). His exams are not related to the book nor lectures. There's really no point to read or go to class with this professor. He was a waste of my time and money. I dont understand why the school does not let this guy go. No one in the class ever got an "A" or "B" on the exams

Dr. Chima is a fun interesting professor. He loves the material- I mean loves it. His tests are very challenging. If you are lazy or want a free grade - don't take him. But if you want to learn econ and learn it well go for it.

Just took him over the summer. As a teacher he's not bad, he's really quirky and has funny moments. Overall could be worse, but if you take I would advise not taking him during the summer. He tries to do too much in a short period of time and you'll stay the whole 4 hours which unless you really like Econ is very draining

Prof Chima is a knowledgeable and fun instructor. He teaches and allows students to ask questions. His exams are tough, however, the final was easier. If you come to class, read the chapters, and study your notes and ask questions there is no reason you should not pass. I got a B, and he does curve. He's a funny man, but he's serious about school.

Chima is awesome! If you're lazy and just going through the motions in college, then he's not for you. But, if you're serious about getting the most education for your dollar (or your parents' dollar), then this is the guy you want to take! Good job, Dr. Chima!!
