I love Chris. He's probably one of the best profs in the poli sci department, if not the whole school. He makes boring topics interesting, gives great feedback and good grades, (as long as you put in the effort), is super flexible, and makes homemade brownies on test days. POL200 can be really work-heavy, but he makes the class super bearable.

Great professor. Lectures are long and his left-leaning bias is apparent, but he tries to stay balanced and does pretty well. He clearly loves the topic and loves to teach which makes it easy to talk to him if you need.

Great humor and is super accommodating and fun to talk to. However, a lot of assignments in this are bland with uninteresting focuses. Some larger papers (20% of grade) are based upon getting assigned a random topic you may not care about. Makes methods more dull than it is. Would take him in a specific topic I care about.

Chris is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Not only is he an amazing lecturer, but he also genuinely cares about his students and how they're doing both in and out of his class. He understands that college students are busy and will do what he can to decrease stress in their lives.

Almost everything you would want in a professor. Empathetic, challenging, broad knowledge, and thinks on his feet well. The only professor I was happy to get an A- on a test or essay from. His analyzing politics class changed my life.

Chris is one of the best profs I've had, his class has taught me so much. If at all possible I recommend taking 200 with Chris. He is just plain a nice guy and his precision, clarity, and structure make the class enjoyable and educational. I have learned so much about research and the academic process in general that I can apply in all of my classes. Chris knows what he is doing, he is very fair, and the class is enjoyable, you can't go wrong!

Fun professor. He loves the material he teaches, which obviously makes it a lot easier to learn. He's a pretty easy grader on papers as long as you follow his guidelines. He gives a thorough review before each test which makes them pretty easy to study for.

The Manhattan Project FTS is great. You have to read a lot but its discussion based, but Gilbert is such a cool, nice guy. He is brilliant and makes you brownies and cake too! Plus, paper sliding contests!
