I loved the passion that Prof Guy showed for her topic. She painted a vivid picture of the past of Argentina, incorporating far more than just the political aspects. My one complaint? Some of the reading assignments were massive and oh-so-dry. FYI: midterm & final are take-home, but written, w/vocab IDs and essay prompt (~6-10 pgs altogether)

I dropped the course after 3 weeks in her class because she talks to students who are non history majors like we are stupid. She is condescending when a student is wrong or contributes something that may not be exactly what she is looking for. Don't take her unless you are a history major.

I had Donna as a prof 12 years ago at the University of Arizona. Long story short, she made a lasting impression. I enjoyed her insight on Argentina studies and was a pleasure to have her as my prof.

Profesor Guy is one of the most impartial professors I have had. She is definitely NOT a feminist and while I had not prior interest in Argentina before taking this class, the readings and assignments caught my interest because Donna was both passionate in her teaching and helpful in her instructions

Donna is wonderful...any of these comments saying she is terrible are probably from people who fail to go to class, do the readings and pay attention-a lot of slackers that were in my class

Any comments saying she is "the worst professor at osu" are completey and utterly false. Prof. Guy is probably one of the nicest, most caring and intelligent professors I have ever had. Her lectures are carefully crafted and she goes way out of her way to help students comprehend the material and improve their writing abilities. Take her!

If you are interested in history and not a feminist or a liberal I would not rerromend this class. A ton of reading that does not help and you have to answer study questions about the reading. And be prepared to be taught by the history channel as well.

Amazing professor. Recommend her highly to any student studying history. She actually uses her books she assigns, goes out of her way to help out students, and is one of the most caring professors one will ever meet. Expects highly of her students, and thus her students can expect highly of her in return.

The WORST teacher at Ohio State!! Speaks to students as if they are kindergartners - assigns an unreasonable amount of reading and demands each and every individual page to be read (mark my words - if it is not done... don't show up to class because you wi

The experience I had with Donna J. Guy was: her being the worst teacher I've ever had while at Ohio State. The reading might be heavy, but it was dry and boring which I learned nothing from. You can't base a class on soley reading. She treated the student

She is interested in teaching her students and helps you pick your own areas of interest. The reading is heavy, but she does a good job bringing in other sources like movies and cultural influences.

This class could have been soooooo much more intersting than she made it. She's a hardcore feminist, and Latin America is her speciality so every thing that we talked about eventually came back to Latin America.
