I love Henke! Lots of dad jokes, very accessible. Food is a small class, so we all got to know each other well, class was more like a meeting with friends, with casual discussions about interesting reading. The class itself is inspirational, I miss the farm! Grading is fair, not too many assignments! One of those classes I looked forward to.

Prof. Henke is an engaging professor who always kept me interested in class. The only problems I had with his class were the two group projects, which were extremely burdensome and time consuming. But class time was very enjoyable and he's always willing to help during office hours, and is incredibly kind.

Prof. Henke is the best! He genuinely cares about his students and their progress. He invited our class over for champagne and donuts at the end of the year. He's so nice and is always available for extra help.

Prof. Henke is great--always tries to make the class fun and interesting and makes himself available for extra help. Obviously writing a thesis isn't very fun but he does his best to make it less painful.

Prof Henke was a pleasant surprise. Does a great job of selecting interesting readings and does a good job keeping class interesting. One paper done in stages, 2 midterms and a final. Tests are tricky, multiple choice are hard (but not impossible) and worth too much. Essays are long, use your time VERY wisely. Funny guy, too.

Interesting course material and class wasn't too boring. Tests are a **** because he tricks you with crazy multiple chocie, but he is really nice and understanding. Go see him outside of class- he loves that.

This class was great! It was easy, reading was generally short (and usually interesting), tests not bad... research paper was the only pain. Henke worked really hard to make the classes interesting and fun, and there were a lot of "fun Fridays" with movies, etc. Definitely recommended as an easy intro class/way to fulfill distribution reqs.

The class is fun, the reading is not at all excessive, 20-40 pages twice a week, fridays are movie days. He makes the concepts really easy to understand and discussion is easy to participate in. The tests are a little tricky, but not bad at all.

He talks to you like youre in fifth grade, so you think the class is a joke. but theres a good amount of reading and pain in the ass blackboard responses, the tests are tricky, and he expects us to make connections we've never talked about before. He means well but is boring has the WORST jokes.

easy my ass. He tricks you with his 4th grade teaching style, then slams you with deceptive multiple choice questions on the test that take alot off your grade. I was interested in soc before, but not anymore. Way too much reading for an intro class.
