Although he is decent at explaining material, his HW sets are absurdly long and completely unreasonable. I'm a math major, and I can safely say I've had the most HW to date in this class alone, more than most of my other upper level math courses.

Dr. Mecklin is a great proffesor. He gives extra credit. The multiple choice on his tests can be a bit difficult. Allows you to use a notecard on exams! Dont skip class, pay attention, do the homework, and you will easily pass.

He is a great teacher. I am terrible at math, and I made an A. The homework is on Math XL which makes life easier. On top of the easy homework he is just a great professor. He explains things well and posts his notes on blackboard after class. If you want an easy A or B then take him. I promise you won't regret it.

Dr. Mecklin is an excellent professor. I would recommend him to any future math majors. He provides additional help if needed and lets you use note cards on exams. He offers extra credit and homework to offset a poor exam grade. He expects you to attend class and give maximum effort. My advice, take him.

I absolutely despise math, but somehow I really enjoyed Dr. Mecklin's probability class! It's easy to get behind if you miss classes, but as long as you attend regularly, it is smooth sailing. Dr. Mecklin is very funny and willing to give extra help (even extra credit!) when needed. I would definitely recommed him.

Dr. Mecklin is a great professor. He genuinely cares about the class and material. His jokes may be corny at times, but hey, he's just trying to east the tension in a somewhat boring subject. Allows 4x6 note card on every test. Quizzes are open book and take home. Explains well. Definitely recommend for MAT 135.

Weird. But I sat in class and talked everyday and still got a decent grade. Never opened the book. Never had homework. Allowed cheat sheets for test. Took Attendance a total of 10 times all semester. If you have to take STATS, take this guy!!

Dr. Mecklin is a very good professor. I'm not a math person, but through his teahing skills I was able to do well. The tests are somewhat difficult, but you're allowed to have a 'cheat sheet' and he's willing to help if you only ask. He can spend an entire class period just answering questions if needed. Overall A+. ^_^

He's a nice guy and he knows his stuff! If you put forth effort, you will be fine. He makes it as easy as possible (note cards on tests, thats great) He understands that its a little rediculous to memorize 20 formulas for a test. No regrets after taking it.
