Wonderful teacher. Dr. Pearson is extremely clear and helpful even in a fast-paced class with difficult material; however, never been in a class with so much homework (approx. 6 hours/week). You'll learn a lot, but this class is a part time job.

This class was VERY hard! Dr. Pearson did an OK job of teaching it, but he confused me a lot, and I had to usually figure it out on my own. He is very nice and helpful when he is available, but it seemed like I couldn't catch him in his office a lot. He is the only professor for this class, so you have to take him!

I do understand that the homework is too much but i dont blame him because he has to cover so much stuff and that practice is the only way to go over all that stuff. If you are looking for a good and helpfull teacher then he is the guy for you. Although the exams were hard, but look nothing is easy; its university not high school, so be a man.

Pearson was a very nice guy and you can reach him in his office for help anytime. The exams are super hard because they don't seem to relate the material from the homework. Also, I could not stay awake for 15 minutes during his lecture cuz his voice is so monotone. Fortunately he gives extra credit to help your grade from the hard exams.

Good teacher, very helpful. The weekly homework assignments are fine, but the daily assignments become too overwhelming. The exams are hard because they don't seem to relate to any of the homework or lectures. If you can handle a lot of homework and challenging exams then this class is for you, otherwise avoid it.

Everyone keeps complaining about homework. There was NOT that much homework. Without it, I would not understand the material anyway. So it is VERY helpful. Exams are ok, more or less. Nothing to stress about. As long as you understand the material (you can see the professor any time for help), you are going to do fine. And I don't mean just passing

Too much homework for a 100 level class and tests are off the wall hard. However he was willing and helped out a lot with the assignments all you gotta do is just ask. Wish I would have done that sooner. Also wish I could have had him for 145. Not liking Dauwe at all!

Goes through information WAY too fast, too much homework for 100 level class (we have other classes too!!) Do all your homework and you'll probably be fine...tests and homework problems are sometimes way more advanced than he covers in class....problems seem easy when explained but not on the tests!

Not a horrible professor, really smart, knows his stuff. Just too much homework for a 100 level class, homework due on test days, lots of work...needs to chill out with the amount of homework, maybe realize that a 100 level course shouldn;t take 8 hours of homework a week. Tests too difficult too.

He's very willing to help you outisde of class. Assigns homework like you have NO other classes. If you're trying to work and take this class - good luck! Should install seatbelts in classroom chairs for the speed he goes through the material!!

A nice guy, but he moves extremely fast and assigns far too much homework for a 100 level course. The questions on the homework often have nothing to do with, or are far more advanced than what he is teaching in class. Homework due on exam days. :(

Great guy, definitely cares about students as well as subject matter. The course is very hard but he cuts you some slack on the tests to make up for it. Do your homework!

Pretty good teacher, but his class discussion problems pale in dificulty to homework and exam problems. And I seriously dislike the Webassign system.
