I took the 16-week online course and it was fantastic. The pacing was good - about two small assignments were due each week. I had to do a few experiments on my own, but compared to in-class labs, these were easy. What I really liked was that she returned graded work quickly and with feedback. I would highly recommend her!

I've never taken on-line class prior to this one so I was a bit nervous at first, turned out this was one of the easiest classes I've ever taken (5wk summer class). Chris replied to my e-mails usually within 48h. If you need to take this class, take it over summer. There?s really no reason to take 16 week class when you can be done with it in 5!

EASY! I took the online class...very easy. She covered everything from the chapters. She uses a lot of the same questions off the quizes for the exams. One bad thing about her was she is IMPOSSIBLE to contact. DOES NOT respond back quickly AT ALL. I would recommend her though.

Good Class for a five week deal. She reuses the quiz questions for the Unit Tests so if you can write fast enough take notes during your quizzes.

I took this science class over the summer and was very surprised at the results: IT WAS GREAT! I never expected that it would have gone so well! There is a lot of homework (its a 5 week class) but I think it was a great (and easy) science class to get out of the way.

I took this class online and I thought it was a great class! The information was interesting and I didn't find the class to be terribly hard at all. The one down side is that she doesn't respond to emails. She does grade the coursework fast though.

Russell knows her stuff, she can answer any question that you could come up with, but when she tries to explain it you end up having more questions than when you started. Lecture is a series of examples, but the concepts seem to be glossed over. You will need book a lot! I took Dockus for 251 and 252 and hadn't bought the book till 253.

I agree, Prof. Russell is incredibly intelligent and friendly as long as your reasonable and professional. Granted, her exams are difficult, but they are comprehensive and fair. Those who listen and participate will do quite well and she is nicer t/dockus

She is by far 1 of the worst instructors I've ever had. She is horrible at explaining. Half the time she confuses you & uses unrelated examples 2 try 2 explain the material better. Her tests are difficult w/ material that hasnt been covered.

Quit your complaining! Chris is a fine teacher who is equivalent to professors at top universities. You get what you deserve which is the way it should be. Even I didn't get all A's. She makes you think and understand which is what it's all about.

Lectures are at 8th grade level, exams are a masters level. She doesn't explain well, often misspells or puts things in wrong order. That is so confusing for such an already complex class. I would go with Dockus (not much better)
