Dr. Sawyer is very smart and an extremely compassionate guy. He is the nicest person professor. This class was extremely easy as long as you study for the exams. You don't really have to show up but he is such a nice guy you feel bad skipping. He made Comm Theory easy and comprehendible. would definitely take another one of his classes

Dr. Sawyer's Comm in group leadership is awesome. It is a great class to take with a heftier comm class (like comm theory.) Not much reading is required. You only have two exams and his reviews are very similar to the test. You also have to write two big papers but since this is a WEM class you can revise for a higher grade. Saywer is so nice!

Dr. Sawyer is the coolest, nicest guy who is so lax and funny. Take him if you have the chance. His exams are online and you can re take them as many times as you want, in class or outside of class. There are two analysis essays that aren't hard and a end of the year group project symposium that is fun. Seriously, very warm nice guy.

Cool professor! He shows interests in his students in and outside class! His online tests are tricky but speeches help increase your grade! He is pretty laid back and basically has assignments and extra credit. Just do them and you will get an A.

This is one of the best professors at TCU. His speech class was really interesting. I loved the group activities, and he does not grade the speeches hard, but he does provide good feedback for what you need to know. He also gives out plenty of extra credit. I don't know why any of the other reviews are bad, but I would recommend him to anyone.

You never see Sawyer, you have a TA. The class is more work that what you would think. Study the online quizzes b/c alot of the questions are on the test. Study for the tests, they aren't easy without reading the material! You give 2 major speeches and thats it. McGouffee is an awesome ta, if you can get him.

This class sucked. You only see Dr. Sawyer once and then a TA teaches it. Class is very boring and uninformative. The tests cover nothing from class and the answers to many are actually wrong. You have to go back yourself and see if the test was wrong or you don't get the points...Waste of time and money - AVOID taking it at TCU

I only saw Dr. Sawyer on the first day of class. TA's do all of the teaching. The class is mostly a waste of time. The tests are horrible...typos abound and some of the "correct" answers are blatantly wrong. The actual class itself has nothing to do with the tests.

The class a total waste of time and waste of money. The tests are flawed, the grades are terrible in the class, and the professor doesn't seem to care about it. This is by far one of the worst courses to take in this school.

This class is the biggest waste of time/money at TCU. I honestly hope Dr. Sawyer does not get paid for teaching all the sections of this class, cause he doesn't do JACK. It is all taught by uninformative TA's. The online tests are VERY poorly worded. If you can do this at TCC or UTA, DO IT!
