Comment:
I took POE 328 with his professor at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC). The course was about Canadian Constitution, Federalism and Regionalism. It was a very difficult course. The professor usually does not fail his students. However, he hands out a lot of C's.

Very knowledgeable and inspirational professor who provides rich and valuable feedback/guidance throughout the course. Despite the challenging class material, I have learned tremendously from this teacher, notably his analytical and dialectical skills. If you are unwilling to go through hard work and rigorous thinking, then this class is not for u.

Found this course very poor. Not what I was expecting, and very often felt confused. There were too many assignments, and a disconnect. Would not recommend this professor at an undergraduate level.

I'm surprised by the comments I see here. I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures. He went out of his way to make the material interesting and interactive. He ASKED students if they felt they received the marks they deserve. FYI the work he assigns in 200 level classes is nothing compared to prof's expectations at the 3-400 level- get used to it now.

One of the best profs I've had at Queen's. A great guy who really wanted students to succeed. Courses aren't easy. He expected you to work but his marking was always fair. Classes were really interesting because he was interested in what he taught. Would take another one of his classes in a second.

Not a bad guy at all, but you definitely want to avoid him teaching one of your classes. He's super smart (of course), but too arrogant and far too demanding for the undergrad level. Seems prone to snap judgements when it comes to student ability - watch out if he tags you the wrong way. Still, if he taught a grad seminar, I would take it!

You have to admire the guy. Wrote an article for a Toronto newspaper critizing university administrators . Gutsy guy who doesn't pull any punches and calls it just as he sees it.

He is condescending, but in a nice way, which makes his rudeness the worst kind. He has ridiculous expectations of students as he has very little hand in teaching them. He really avoids lecturing in any way he can. Poorly organized structure makes assingments so hard to do. HE SUCKS!!!

Insecure book-head is more like it (that's where the condescending comes from) He shouldn't teach...he's too interested in making an impression to himself.

marking not an accurate reflection of class work in most cases (and no, I am not just bitter about a bad mark - i was one of the few exceptions who worked hard and got a good mark). course is brutally unorganized and confusing, and workload is awful. :(

Maybe some of you need to go back to high school. I found Prof. Leuprecht to be an amazing prof. He really cared about what he taught, and about his students. If you are serious about learning, and not just playing around take a course with him.
