Wurst is definitely the funniest professor Ive had at Temple. He does get off topic a lot but he posts help videos for the homework on YouTube which is helpful and hes easily accessible outside of class. He is very helpful during review sessions. Made accounting not dreadful to go to twice a week.

This is a teach yourself class. Wurst just reads from slides and has peer helpers teach, help, and write problems on the screen for students. LOTS of homework that can take hours each week. Many people failed the midterm and final and only passed because of a strong homework grade. Doesn't do much teaching, only talking. Has a good attitude though

There is A LOT OF WORK in this class. The material is not so difficult, but it is more the amount of work in the class. Professor Wurst was such a nice guy and I am glad I took him even after reading all the reviews! He really cares about his students and tries his hardest for you to succeed. He offers you extra credit mostly on Thursdays so go!

Department head of Accounting. Teaches a lecture of 300 students for a subject that you can't teach. Homework due every Saturday and Sunday night. No one learns anything in class so doesn't go. Wurst is funny and cares, but just happens to be saddled with an unteachable and extremely tedious class. Be prepared to teach yourself on your own time.

I enjoyed this course, and his stories. As long as you put in a lot of your own time into this course you will do fine. There are times where you need to teach yourself. However, my respect for him fell when I asked a question over email. Instead of helping, he assumed I skipped his class and made my question seem stupid. I have a 98 and didnt skip

Wurst is an amazing prof, & anyone who says otherwise hasn't talked to him. He doesn't put up with BS, but if you go to him with a genuine concern/question, he will go out of his way to help you. He gives his students his person cell phone number at the beginning of the semester. I changed my major to Accounting because of him!

Wurst is rude even when you try to be nice. In lectures he barley talks about class topics he goes on rants about previous issues he's had with students. He talks about his personal life in class more than teaching the room. test are hard to pass and loads of homework very time consuming. He isn't helpful. you basically teach yourself.

This guy is all over the place. He knows what he's teaching but his random tangents about unrelated nonsense combined with unclear teaching methods make going to class useless. Homework has unlimited attempts so that helps. Tests are so hard. Take this class with friends so you can do online quizzes together, other than that good luck.

This a teach-yourself class. Tons of work involved weekly on Connect, and the Final and Midterm are worth a combined 55% of your grade. All ACCT2101 classes are tough at Temple, so if you can succeed by reading by yourself, putting in time online to get 100's with unlimited attempts, and going to class just for review - this is the class for you.

He's a great guy, but he just explains things really weirdly. You'll have lecture one day and then do extra credit activities the next. There is lots of extra credit and I believe he explains things well, and the repetitiveness helps a lot.

Prof. Wurst is a good guy. He's funny and he's just overall extremely chill. However, his course could disagree. He doesn't really teach in lecture, he just rambles on and gets off-topic quite often. Prepare to study a lot outside of class. I highly recommend getting Chegg for all the Connect homework. It's come clutch during section quizzes, etc

Heavy workload and class lectures don't relate to any of the homework, quizzes, etc that are given. Be prepared to teach yourself everything and put a couple of hours into your homework every week. Course-load is heavy at times.

This was my third time taking ACCT 2101 (2nd with Wurst), and I thought the online class was a lot easier. Same HWs and Quizzes every week, Section Quizzes are still tough, Midterm and Final are a bit easier online though. Examity's horrible though. He says attendance is mandatory, but I missed four classes, and it didn't effect my grade.

Take the online class if you can, I found it way easier than in person financial accounting. Homeworks every week, exams come from a test bank so make sure you know how to do the homeworks. Attendance is mandatory but I felt the lectures were useless

WORST PROFESSOR IVE EVER HAD!!! He is so rude and mean. Does not teach during class, so you have to teach yourself. He doesnt even have office hours, and has the TA answer all your questions. HE DOES NOT ROUND GRADES. He sucks so badly i would never recommend him to anyone, he is so disrespectful. you will fail if ur not an accounting major.

Nice guy and cares about his students but I would never take him as a professor again. His class is riddled with unrelated personal stories, there's a TON of busy work homework online that really doesn't help, and absolutely be ready to TEACH YOURSELF. No tests in class besides Midterm and final but they're really difficult.
