Do not take her! Horrible professor! I'm a foreign language major who is learning multiple languages, 3.8 gpa. She criticizes her students and makes fun of you. The work/tests/speeches are sickening unnecessary and graded unfairly. If you have no background in french, good luck. She adjusts the curriculum because there are fluent speakers present.

Kinda has an attitude, but usually when its someone who is annoying. Goes off on lots of tangents about nothing important. Tests are not too bad, but you REALLY need to know a bit of french before going into this class cause you learn not much in class, all on your own. Almost unbearable amounts of homework, but none of it is useless, it helps

If you have never taken French before, its not a good idea to start in college with ANYONE. I took French in high school. Class was a breeze for me. A TON OF HOMEWORK. Online and in textbook. But shes caring. She called me to tell me what I missed when I was absent. Gave us chocolate on our last day and hugs!

Participate in class she doesn't care if you are wrong. Purchase the book but you could also get the free 30-day trial and complete the entire course of HW during that time frame to avoid buying the book. she is an Easy A. But if you spell one Spanish word wrong she will ask you if you are dyslexic. Language lab is a great help. Great bean dipmaker

This lady makes you write so much she tells you to write what you want as long as it intrests you and finds ever little coma or period mistake, literally shes annoying and when you do find something you like to write about if she doesnt like it, no matter how well written it is you wont get the grade you want horrible teacher 1/10

Sometimes confusing with what she wants from you. Very personable and funny. A lot of essays, but she will help you along the way and she gives great comments. She also lets you resubmit work as much as you need to get an A. Glad I had her for this class.

I thought this would be an incredibly hard class given that it was Intensive Spanish and was 4 hours a day for 5 weeks. But she really understood how hard it was for us and helped us a lot. You do a lot of work, but she really helps you out with the tests a lot and she's a generally easy going person. Class would've been hell if she wasn't teaching

she is very nice, but as a teacher, nice doesn't cut it. i want to learn french so bad but she's WAY to fast and thinks the second she says it you automatically understand and remember it. she gives A LOT of homework and right now i'm debating dropping the class. its just too hard. she just doesn't realize how fast and advanced she is for level one

She is an extremely annoying teacher, constantly walking over and looking over your shoulder to watch what you do. I used a laptop in class and she was just walk next to me and watch what I was writing, and I sat in the back of the class! Don't recommend if you want to be able to do your work in peace. She also called my cellphone!

I have this woman for French. I agree with the first comment that her lesson plans are way too fast. I feel like I am learning more from reading the text and doing work online than I am sitting in the class. I DO NOT rec. her if you want a comfortable learning environment. She is a bit condescending as well.

Shes a sweetheart but i dont suggest taking her for spanish because she just teaches way to fast-paced and expects you to know everything. she teaches so many languages that shes so advanced for elementary spanish and i think she forgets what level shes teaching. I thought i was decent at spanish until this teacher..

I don't like foreign language classes and am NOT good at it AT ALL but I still got an "A." She gives soooo many chances for EXTRA CREDIT. On each test you can get like TEN POINTS of EXTRA CREDIT and really, you can't fail -- she even tells you that. A little strange but EASY "A" or "B."

This was by far my favorite class ever, and it was all because of Dr. Mohanty. She is the reason I am an English teacher today. She taught me not only writing techniques, but to have confidence in myself. Besides all of that, she is a wonderful human being and I am blessed to know her.

Wonderful lady. She goes above and beyond so that you not only do well in her class, but understand the material. She's mild mannered, interesting and a student's teacher. She was a delight!
