Oh Dr. Horton! Run! She gives too much busy work that she claims will help you find the resources needed to guide you through your social work journey. What a load of bull! Her lectures are so boring & she uses the word "UM" in EVERY sentence! She presents sloppy in class but she wants you to be perfect during your presentation.

Professor Horton is one of the most boring college professors that I have had so far. She just stands up in front of the class and rambles about nothing. I love social work and it is my major but I wish some classes were offered by a different teacher so I could pay attention better. BORING BORING BORING

She is great at teaching. Very helpful and definately knows her stuff. She is a great advisor as well. I would def. take her again. Tests are kind of rough. But if you study you will do fine. She DOES try to trip you up a little on the tests, but if you simply listen to her during class it won't trip you up. it's more for those who sleep or skip (:

this is an ok class. however, it definately involves STUDYING before tests and quizzes because tests are writing lists, matching, and fill in the blank. She is nice and helpful, and I would take her again.

Wonderful teacher and excellent one-on-one also. She's also who I prefer for an advisor. She's sharp as a tack and works hard. She is required to travel often because of evaluations of field experience students. Her guest speakers are interesting and relevant to social work.

Mrs. Horton is a great Social Work professor. She knows a lot about the field of Social Work and offers so much to the program. She is hilarious when you get to know her. I've had her for several classes and learned a lot in all of them. Tests aren't that hard if you know the material.
