One of the best English teachers I've ever had. Ms. Persak is a nice old lady that is definitely there to help students become better writers. Vocab quizzes and a few essays (she will let you edit for a better grade). A must take class

She is really easy if you're a decent writer. She only has vocab quizzes every week and 4 to 5 papers to write. She cancels class a lot. She's a little older lady and really funny! If you can keep up with the vocab quizzes and do well on your papers you should pass with an A to B grade. I actually learned a lot of English grammar tips from her.

She will find fault in EVERYTHING you write for her, she is by far the WORST teacher I have ever had, her grading scale is not fair and she will treat you like you are in elementary school. Do NOT get her.

Comment:

Prof. Persak is one of my favorite professors at Ferris. She's very knowledgeable about her class and she likes to have discussions[though everyone else doesn't.] Papers weren't horrible to write and she gives you the chance to fix them if you come to her office. Overall, great teacher would definitely recommend her as a professor.

She's pretty nice. I liked her a lot. I knew most of the stuff prior to taking the corse, but it was still pretty useful. Vocab quizzes are easy, as long as you look over them. You dont have to take a final if you attend her classes. She's a good professor.

Her class is extremely easy. As long as you read the material and pay attention while in class, you can get an easy A. You only write 3 papers, compared to other English 150 classes which write a ton. She is a fairly moody person, but as long as you show her you care and try you will get along fine. I highly recommend her for anyone taking ENGL 150

Awful teacher. She is extremely pretentious and lacking any worthy credentials. The class is graded in an extremely unfair manner. You will learn nothing and waste your time slaving over works that have no real value or meaning. Her ideas are completely off base and her attitude is mean and nasty. I don't recommend her to anyone!

Many of my classmantes and I had a very difficult time with this professor. She is very unclear and inconsistent. You never know what grade you have except for midterms, and you never know how much each assignment is worth. She is very sarcastic, and she likes to talk above the class.

The group critisizing was pointless. I got an appointment with her and she told me exactly how to fix problems on papers. First 2 papers w/o her help C-, C+. After Appointment B. I recommend getting an appointment if you need help on paper.
