Very good professor. Honestly if you hate English classes this is the one to take. She took a subject i hated and actually made me excited to get up for an 8 A.M. great professor. She bashes atheists every once in a while which I took offense to and is a very strong christian but otherwise an awesome professor!

Comment:

Such a great professor who actually felt more like one of us than an authority figure! Professor Roth was always extremely helpful and did her best to make sure students succeeded and truly believed in/encouraged those who didn't think they could do well. She made Adv. Comp. as an interim very manageable and gave us skills we can actually use.

Class was about Lewis Carroll and the Victorian period. I thought it was really fun! She is a great teacher that really goes in depth on everything - but it all makes sense! Talks about history a lot, but only the interesting stuff. Lots of extra credit opportunities, even though she said there wouldn't be many at the beginning. Would take again!

One of the BEST PROFESSORS at UW-Oshkosh. Very intelligent, witty, helpful. Classes are challenging but she makes it fun and you actually feel smarter when done. Dedicated, loves her job. Showed up to class TWO DAYS before was due to have her baby! Open to various viewpoints (that is, if you can intelligently ground it!) No slacking off!

She's such an amazing prof! She really wants everyone to do well. Gives TONS of extra credit opportunities and is always willing to help students and be there for them. Definitely take her! She saved us money (books were like $11 total, but everything is online if you dont wanna spend the money)

BEST professor I've had so far! One of those teachers that will do whatever she can to help you get a good grade. No textbook needed - just a few small poetry books and two novels - not hard. I really liked this professor. She's extremely knowledgable and always welcomes interpretations different from her own. I was in a class of superintellectuals, yet she always encouraged and appreciated my comments. Read the material and you'll be well off. She's not fair, and her classes typically focus on what she wants to talk about - not what may actually help you. Very hard grader and more work than any one class should have...don't forget to ask her about "oxford," - she loves to talk about herself - just make sure it's on a work day, cause "intellectuals" like her are too important for e-mail.
