Comment:

I was initially nervous about taking 351, but I loved it! Christine is really funny and caring, her assignments were interesting, and I feel like I learned so much. Tests and assignments are pretty straightforward if you're willing to study and put in some effort, and you get marks for participation. Would definitely recommend this course!

HATE HATE! Incapable of explaining concepts or ideas in a concrete way. Writing is illegible and marking is illogical. She does let you do retakes but that's cuz she knows she can't teach it right the first time. She also blamed me when she was late to class cuz i was at office hours and she lost track of time.

I can't believe anyone wrote that she is boring. I had her class way too early in the morning & it was one I looked forward to - it woke me up! She's quirky, kind & cares about your grade as much as you do. Haven't taken her for ling, but for grammar - the best! Not much hw, just go to lectures + read that packet GPA boost !

Very capable in the French language, but not very good at explaining things - her English skills are lacking. Not very prepared for class, but very generous marker. Easy to get an A if you study on your own for the tests (and show up) and hand in the assignments.

Easiest A+ I've ever gotten. The class doesn't require a whole lot of teaching, if you just hand in your assignments every week you'll get a near perfect grade. She seemed nice enough, but I almost never went to class so I couldn't say for sure.

Very enthusiastic prof, at times even entertaining. Did a good job of focussing on the important/difficult aspects of the course. However, her midterm and take-home assignment were incredibly difficult, and the class had surprisingly low average. Not always helpful, especially to people who ask stupid questions.

Top notch prof! She always went over all of the material covered to make sure everybody understood what was expected of us. Marks were very fair and her teaching style was very relaxed and friendly. I would love to take another course with her.

Even though I am not a big linguistics fan, she actually made the class and the content interesting and understandable. I really enjoyed doing the project for our class. I can get bored so easily, but she kept me awake, so that says a lot.
