It's a real shame that he no longer at MSU. Very fun, passionate, smart teacher. Very helpful. Expects you to make an effort on your own to learn material. He made learning Population Genetics easy. Favorite (well, former) MSU Bio professor. COME BACK BEACHY!!

Had him for Bio 151 and Lab. GREAT professor. Very Very funny. makes class interesting and worth going to. The "textbook" isn't really necessary, but it is cheap if you choose to buy it. Lab is alright as well. Make SURE you take his class!

Beachy makes Biology fun & interesting & ties everything together w/current events. I recommend taking the lab w/him bcuz no other lab teacher really connects the lab to the lecture. There are only about 5 tests. There is no book reading. U just copy down the notes he writes on the board & study. *big (200+) class-sit as close 2 the front as u can*

He is by far one of the best teachers I have had. If you are doing poorly in his class and he knows your trying not to do poorly, he is willing to help you to the max! I love his energy and excitement about what he is talking about. I have taken biology from other professors at minot state and beachy is by far the best!

He is amazing! I hated bio but its my fave class this yr. It isn't 2 difficult 2 get A's as long as U take notes. There is NO need 4 the textbook in his Bio 111 class, which he'll tell U himself. He is very high energy (a bit much at times),but it keeps class from being boring. He is extremely helpful! I 100% recommend taking his classes!

HE is an amazing professor! The classes that he teaches for people who are majoring in biology are difficult but they are suppose to be!! Stop complaining and study! He makes it extremely interesting, and you can tell he loves what he does - which is so important. I have to say one of the best teachers Ive ever had!

Dr. Beachy is one of the most caring and qualified to be teaching on campus. He emphazes repetition and mneumonic devices to learn. The intro to biology is meant for people to become better citizens as he informed us on reasons for side effects to why AIDS can not be cured. Just go to lecture, trust me it's an great experience and study your notes.
