Comment:

Professor Powers made you learn without knowing you were learning he had you laughing and learning at the same time. That is hard to do but he did it with ease. I think that when an instructor knows how to deliver knowledge that is a gift and Professor Powers fully understands. I truly enjoyed learning in this course.

He was a great teacher and explained things in ways we all related to! The lectures were always fun and packed with information. I was never looking at the clock wishing it would hurry and be over. I hope to have him as a professor again!

I took him last semester for 202 and he is a great professor. He makes his lectures interesting and tries not to make them too long. He gives good extra credit opportunities and his quizzes and tests aren't killer. If he taught another class that I needed for my major then I would definitely take him again.

Powers gives great lectures and tried to get the whole class involved in the discussion. I had him for an 8am class, but he was ready to go every morning with coffee in hand. Always got right back to me with my questions. Straight forward and fun history class!

Professor Powers was straight forward when I first met him. He lets you know, He does not teach from powerpoints or writing on the board.. He simply just talks to you. At first you think.. WHAT? But honestly, It was okay. His test are not crazy challenging. Simple Extra Credits are given & We hardly used the book, only for a references. He's Great!

Probably my favorite class. Professor Powers is extremely helpful and clear. He's really knowledgeable about history and truly wants his students to do well in his class. I had an 8am with him, and never missed a class! I actually really enjoyed going. He gives out easy quizzes to help your grade, and also gives out extra credit. Love this class:)

Excellent guy and really helpful! His class is definitely not an automatic A, but an A is easily attainable as long as you go to class and take notes. Also, he gives more than ample opportunities for extra credit! Powers is definitely worth taking! Also, he is the Tennis coach so class gets canceled a few times due to his meets.

This class was amazing. Tests are easy if you study, go to class, take notes and read the text book. The text book is very readable. Also, i would just sit in his class even if i was not enrolled. It is alot of fun. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Very unorganized, if you try to read from the textbook, you will get lost. However, lectures are not enough for getting A in the class. He makes you go to his tennis matches, but better keep a record of your bonus points. Easy B or C. Current events quizzes are weighted as your lecture quizzes...you won?t learn in his class.
