The class would be a breeze provided he weren't so unapproachable. He can be a bit confusing at times. He's actually a very sweet man. Do exactly as he says and you will get an A. Ask for clarification on the homework. He was always very unclear about when he wanted print-outs. Don't let his age fool you. He's sharp as a tack.

I just love him so much!! He is the cutest professor I've ever seen. I REALLY wish I could take his class again and again. Sanderson is such a nice man with all the knowledge of teaching and patience.

Chris is strange. Many people aren't huge fans of him because he is pretty disorganized. But I think the way he teaches 3D is amazing. People complain that other professors let students make things that are pretty, but if you are in Chris's class you will actually learn things. The other classes mess around, he teaches principles that are useful

Foundation students at Pratt! Pick him! Easiest teacher in all foundation classes imo! (only because my major does not relate to building stuffs out of hand so I'm not trying to learn anything from this class)

To build anything of worth or use to your portfolio take any other class. Sanderson's assignments are small daily constructions which you'll make with from-the-trash materials. (ex. plastic bottles, cans, cardboard, etc.) Only sometimes does he explain what you're supposed to learn. You'd learn fundamentals better through more developed projects.

His love of teaching shows and he as been doing it for a while. He doesn't care if you're in class as long as you get the work done. My one complaint is the assignments; they're not the most interesting assignments in the 3D department. He is a fabulous teacher. RECOMMENDED

Sanderson is a very chill teacher. He doesn't really notice when students aren't there and he's not all over you during the process. As long as you get your assignment done, even if you don't execute it correctly, as long as you understand the concept he's puts that into consideration. GREAT teacher. Highly recommended

Teaches you the theory of 3D design. Expect to make conceptual structures in different materials for the entire year. He's the chillest man on earth so enjoy a relaxing day each week during your hectic foundation year. Do your work and you can even get away with skipping a few classes.

May seem unclear at times but that's because he wants you to figure stuff out. Only downside is that he usually has a very specific idea in mind. It may take a couple of tries but overall you learn so much about how to create and how things are created even if it takes a while to figure that out. Enjoy the PROCESS. Awesome teacher. Ask questions.

chris is strange, but a nice guy. he doesn't quite know how to explain projects very well and he can seem cold at first but just be respectful and he'll be happy to help. he likes to walk out of the room in the middle of sentences, which is odd, but the class is pretty easy and i kindof learned a little. Gain his respect and you'll get independence

He is probably the sweetest man to ever live. He's a very nice teacher, and thinks of 3D abstractly. If you want a professor who will have you making face sculptures and aesthetically pleasing things, Sanderson isn't for you. He's very into function and HOW things are made. Corner to corner, edge to edge!

Absolutely awesome teacher. He's very laid back and really only cares about one thing: that you get the point he's trying to get across. Execution isn't everything in this class, it's all about the idea you're trying to convey. He really got me to think abstractly about 3-D. He's super helpful and incredibly interesting.

i love the sand man!!! he's my #1 favorite professor ever (although "corner to corener edge to edge haunts me). i still stop and talk to him when i see him walking around campus (even though he does'nt remember my name). hes an amazing man and far more of a "real" person then most pratt students.

It is easy to slide through the class if you don't care about it, but if you really pay attention, you can learn alot and Mr. Sanderson makes you question how you see things. Don't diss the outfit, he has had a hard life.

He's so chill i love it. he totally respects everyone's work pace, as long as you get the work done at the end of the year. i.e if u'd rather sleep in and work ur ass off in the afternoon, then go right ahead! and yeah, screw aesthetics, all about the principles. Just don't stand too close to him :P
