Comment:

She is a very hard grader and makes you read a lot. She has online quizzes weekly. For her tests you have to study everything. I was always super prepared as I am a very organized student and I still didn't do as well as I had hoped. Her lectures are extremely boring however you should go to class for attendance points.

As one of her preceptors,I can say she builds her class to help her students succeed. She would always ask us what other students were struggling with and how she could make her lectures bettermore useful. Tests are super easy if you go through the study guide, and all the assignments are online. Content can be boring but is always straightforward

VERY structured, you will know everything you will do in the semester after the first day from the syllabus. She is very nice, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help if you need it (you probably won't though, becuase the subject matter is pretty straightforward) Just DO the assignments and you will pass the tests. No real need to "study"

Lectures are kinda boring. Homework was light. She has quizzes quite frequently but they're online. Her tests are somewhat wordy so you have to pay attention to what she is actually asking. I barely used any other book besides the class notes. If you do the work and go to class you'll definitely get a B

She is the loviest lady I have ever met! I was able to be a preceptor for this class and LOVED IT! She is super helpful, the tests you take you get to know your grade right after you take. There is a lot of work, an RQ online every week, but very easy if you do self-tests. She gives you everything to succeed. TAKE THIS CLASS. BEST EXPERIENCE!

Dr. H is nice and helpful but her class is not easy. I struggled on the tests and just learning the information confused me a lot. A lot of it was looking at weird graphs and learning stupid formulas for no reason.

I have never hated a class as much as I hate this class. It is boring, the material is pointless, and her lectures make you fall asleep. There is less work in a biology class. I have more assignments and work than I do in any of my upper division Eller classes. Do not take unless you want to spend 20 hours a week on pointless material.

The class is pretty easy. You don't need the text book. I didn't buy it. The quizzes are easy and all the answers can be found on the slides she posts or the class notes. She does group tests so it's easier. The exams are fairly easy if you study the diagrams from the slides online. Overall easy A or B class

Dr. H is incredibly sweet and helpful. Seriously this class was easier than high school science and even though she makes attendance mandatory through clickers and lectures are incredibly boring, it was worth the easy Nat. I even found myself learning a lot, so it was worth my time. Don't buy the textbook! I got an easy A without it.

Very nice teacher. She seems very dedicated to the topic of global change. I went to class about 70% of the time and got 100% on all 4 tests and a 93 on the midterm with hardly any studying at all.Definitely an easy A. Only 10 points of grade are attendance. You get immediate feedback on the tests which is nice.

Such a nice woman, very knowledgable & respectable. She genuinely wants her students to succeed & keeps them engaged in the material by having funny slides/sound effects. If you go to class & study moderately, do the wkly quizzes you'll do great. Test aren't super easy but they aren't impossible either. Def take her if are aren't a science person.

She is very enthusiastic about the topic and very helpful. If you pay attention in class and study moderately you'll do well. She is my favorite teacher. Weekly online quizzes, occasional tests and group tests. Interesting class although I had no prior interest in the subject. I recommend it as NATS class.

Super sweet lady. Always tries to keep the class engaged by sounds in powerpoints and videos. Ask for help she loves getting to know her students in a big class. Not one that you can sleep through. Have to pay attention to do well and study for the tests. DO ALL THE HW. scratch off tests help when you dont know anything you get partial credit!

Awesome professor. Taught me a TON by breaking down really boring scientific nonsense into easy-to-understand elementary basics. Redundant PowerPoint presentations with annoying sound effects are killer, though. Check D2L often & pay attention in class to get a good grade while learning relevant facts about our world.

I've never been interested in science. But this class was very easy for me to pass. The teacher is extremely nice and helpful. She posts everything online, study guides, lectures, everything. If you need a NAT definitely take this class.
