I was not at all a fan of this professor. He went on and on during his lectures. There was an in class quiz every day so you had to be there. He went on several tangents every day about topics that did not at all relate to math. He also thinks that the TI-84 calculator is a god and will force you to use it and learn every function it has.

He's a good guy, funny, caring, and SUPER smart. He's bad about e-mailing and communication outside of class. He'll explain things over and over if you need it, but his patience does run low after awhile. Take HUGE advantage of the tutoring center if u need lots of help. Out of 5 stars I'd say he's a 3. Best of wishes to you, don't give up!

He does a thorough job explaining the content-trig. He explains how to solve and its real-life application. He does numerous examples to help you understand and has never once gotten upset with "stupid questions". Also, he doesn't mind staying over to help and does a great job going over the testing materials-both before and after the test. XD

Mr. Sturm is a very good teacher. I was going through some personal issues when I was taking his class and he was very understanding if I couldn't attend. He was very helpful with questions too. We always ended early too which was very nice! Highly recommended! Especially if you have a hectic life because we never had homework either.

He explains things very well and does not mind going over things more than once or answering questions. He makes the class interesting (has very good stories) and we always got out a half hour before the class was supposed to be over. We learned everything we needed to and didn't have to turn homework in. Great teacher!

Mr. Sturm is awesome instructor! He makes everything very easy to understand. If you are having trouble, he will stop and help you through it. REALLY bummed that he isn't teaching MTH 096. BEST Math teacher I have EVER had!

Great teacher, tries to keep it interesting and relate to real life applications as much as possible. Quizzes are easy and not overkill, same with tests. Always has reviews for tests the class before and answers any questions. Usually ends class early, great overall teacher, take him anytime you can!!!

I took Sturm for both 097 and 119 and he's the best teacher i've ever had. im horrible at math but i passed both of his classes with an a. he makes it really clear what you are doing and relates it to every day things. Never boring. He's an amazing teacher!

Greatly enjoyed having this class. I would recommend him to anyone that his going to take this class. He was not only helpful but didn't bored you the whole time. He will sometimes tell little side storys that make you laugh. Then he seemed to always finish up almost half an hour before class actually ends.

Awsome instructor i wish he taught all the classes i needed. He explains thing like you wouldnt beleive i thought it would be hard to remember everything but he makes it easy, he relates things to topics you might actually care about and he teaches you how to use the calculator easier. Chuck is a great guy and wants to see everyone succeed. He held a group study session everyday 1 hour before class which was helpful. He tends to rant about his family and current events but it does break up the class a little bit. I didn't ask questions(he seemed to be annoyed with questions and inability to understand on the first teaching).
