Comment:
I respect Dr. Nealy, she is a no-nonsense person who expects students to be professional. Use critical thinking in class and be ready to be put on the spot. Put in the work and time for grade and ask questions. Several writing assignments that she grades hard and doesn't give comprehensive feedback on, and exams were hard to study for.

Stay Away!!! Worst Professor ever! She curved, but being a communications class you'd think she'd communicate better!

Make sure to use the tutor she suggest on her syllabus for your papers. She is a tough grader and she won't explain why you got a grade you got. Only 2 writing assignments, One group writing assignment and PP. midterm and finals. She curved the grades for our class.

Unprofessional, inconsistent, biased grading. Unclear criteria. Unreadable messages and instructions for assignments. Prof does not have command of English language. Clearly, someone else is grading our papers, not Prof. Took 10 points off paper because her name in paper heading had red squiggly underline for Word spellcheck. Complete horror show

She is a tough grade but if you follower her directions, ask her questions about what you don't understand then you'll do fine. Majority of grade is in the group projects, 1 paper and 2 group powerpoint. Work hard in your group and you should do fine. She was nice in email and quick to respond. Overall she isn't as hard as I thought she would be.

Honestly you probably won't think she's that nice of a professor in the being, but give her time. She grows on you and really tries to help the students that are working hard.

They did warn me that she is strict and a tough grader on papers and group projects. She assigned us to 3 group assignments along with 2 papers. Quizzes are due all at once 3 months in. Every other week she allowed us to skip class to meet with our group. Follow instructions and don't get her mad. Took our final with our group. Cool and laid back

I had taken this course during summer 1, along with another course. I HIGHLY recommend taking the course In-person or hybrid so that Dr. Nealy can know you personally. She strives for challenging the students to become better communicators in every aspect. You will have to work hard on your papers, but her grading is fair. Clear expectations .

Very vague directions and tough grading. She makes an otherwise very simple subject very difficult. The class was very group project heavy. The final is comprehensive and 100 questions. She will count points off of your paper for not using a synonym that she thinks would've sounded better. Very interesting professor and class concept...

Be warned- don't take an online class with the professor. you don not get the grade you worked for. Ambiguous directions. Makes it harder for you to succeed even though the subject material itself is quite self explanatory and interesting to study.

This class was as expected for a business communication course. Having a good team is key to getting the most out of the class. Dr. Nealy is to the point and will not baby you! You get the grade you earn. She gives valuable feedback. At the office, I find myself remembering tips she shared with me for business writing and other situations.

Very clear of what is expected. No tests except for the final (cumulative). You will have 2 presentations, 3 writing assignments, connect quizzes/assignments for each chapter. Tough grader on the papers but overall this class is normal. Coordinating with group is probably the hardest thing. ADVICE: Stay on top of those Connects and follow calendar.

This a class for grown ups. No extra credit or bonus points. This professor does not hold your hand. If you can't take a real class, get another teacher. She has group projects for the whole semester. Easy. 2 PowerPoint Presentations and 3 papers. She's blunt and to the point. She helps you. If you can't help yourself, she won't hold your hand.

I have to admit at the beginning of the semester I thought i was going to hate the class. Dr. Nealy turned out to be a great professor who motivated me to apply for a minor. Make sure you participate, PROOF READ YOUR WORK WITH A PROFESSIONAL, and read. SHE HATES CELLPHONES AND LAP TOPS during class so pay attention to what she says. Great speaker

I took her for the summer. NO review for final and a lot of papers. She's a hard grader, takes points off for the small things but does give feedback in order to not repeat same mistakes. Quizzes are okay and cases are a little tough.

Took her for summer 3 so course was very fast paced. In total we had 4 written assignments, 1 group research paper and 1 presentation. She is very particular on formatting and grammar, she will deduct points for the smallest things. Her final was comprehensive and there was no review provided, majority of the class failed it.
