Comment:

If you're taking the accelerated course, prepare yourself for an almost overbearing amount of work. B50 is a cakewalk if you're comfortable with English and don't mind reading. B1A moves really fast and the amount of work can pile up even faster if you're not careful. Prof. Hubble is great though, she'll work with you and really wants you to pass.

In the beginning I was a little intimidated by the course; however, as the first week ended, I got comfortable because of her teaching. She is a professor who earns the respect of her students and faculty on a daily basis. Definitely requires you to work hard to earn your grade, but will work with you if you communicate in a timely matter.

Shares some funny stories , but this class was so hard and overwhelming. I dont recommend it for any one who struggles with english. Shes very blunt so if she feels you wont pass the class be prepared to hear it straight up. Some may find it motivating, others will find it discouraging.

I took Prof. Hubble about 3 years ago. She taught me the proper way to write and research for my upper devision courses. I took her Eng B50/ Eng B1A course and it was hard, but not impossible to pass. If you are a nursing major and this class seems too fast pace for you... Reconsider your major.

Professor Hubble is an amazing Professor. I personally took the B50/B1A course and it was hard. This class is not for everyone! By the second half of the class, everyone does not make it. You have to work for your grade! She is a tough grader, but she means well. I love her, and I would take a class with her again.

Great teacher! She's funny and tells lots of stories. She gives quizzes on the reading so MAKE SURE TO READ! She helps a lot to make sure you understand the assignments. Overall she was great and I definitely recommend

I love Mrs. Hubble's class. She is hilarious! You will learn how to write properly in her class. The EngB50 and B1a is, ridiculously, overwhelming with reading and writing assignments; I took it as a challenge, because I need to be able to write properly for my future career. She is tough, but she means well. Be ready for the rewarding challenge.

She is a great teacher, though she does give out a lot of quizzes but they are mainly about what you have read. YOU MUST READ THE MATERIAL! other than that she does explain things a lot more than most professors do. she is also funny and pretty nice. just dont be late she will pick at you for that

Mrs. Hubble is a great professor, she is helpful and very clear on what she wants. BE READY TO READ! The books she has the class read are very interesting. Be ready to learn. Her class is easy if you try and go to S.I. Joy is very helpful, but she can be a bit intimidating at first. You'll have "fun" in this class. She has lots of stories to share.

She's great at what she does. She's tough but she is helpful. She comes off as condescending and gives very judgmental looks with her gaze but she's funny and sweet. Assignments are difficult but she has the answers to all your problems. GO TO S.I.! READ THE BOOKS! DON'T SAY "I SEEN"! If you get under a B in B50, think before doing B1a.

She is a very nice teacher. This class is 8 weeks for each section so it is harder then taking one part for 16 weeks, but she is very helpful and there was only 3 test out of the whole semester. I learned a lot in this class and she gives clear examples. If you are lazy and like to copy and paste papers off line don't take her she knows about that.

Professor Hubble is an amazing teacher. She goes above and beyond for her students and presents the material very well. Take good notes and read what is assigned! The Final is basically all the notes you take and worksheets. Highly recommend!

DO THE READING. Hubble is pretty fun in class, but she expects you to DO THE READING. She pop quizes on readings and they add up! MANAGE YOUR TIME WELL AND DO YOUR READING and you'll ace the class. Otherwise you'll fight for a passing grade. A knowledge of popular TV shows is also recommended. She uses their characters to explain concepts.

Hubble is a solid teacher. She is great at creating a fun learning environment. Also, she'll go out of her way to ensure all students understand the given topic. Yes, she is a little strict when it comes to assignments, but students should expect strict guidelines in college. All in all, she's the Phil Jackson of teaching English.
