The professor covers the material after giving a pop quiz. you are expected to read the material but does not cover it until after she has quizzed you on it. Assignments given are vague and when approached for help she can be condescending and standoffish.

She is an absolutely wonderful professor, and, by far, my favorite. I can say that you will not pass her class without effort, but she is more than fair. She doesn't expect any more of her students than she would expect of herself.

Dr. Norris is an awesome professor. Although difficult, she provides the tools for anyone to succeed if you're willing to utilize them. Although she can seem extremely cold, Dr. Norris takes an interest in her students and wants them to succeed. If you fail, it's your own fault and I'm thankful to have had her as a professor.

This is an extremely tough class. Pre-quizzes are difficult, but they only count for 5% of your overall grade. She goes out of her way to help make sure you understand the material. DO NOT get behind on labs, or you will fail the class. Tests are rather easy if you do well on the post-quizzes. Make sure to read, and take advantage of her help.

Hard class. Pre-quizzes before class can be difficult but they do not count for much of your grade. Make sure you read. Dr. Norris will do her best to help you if you ask. CS 3481: Make sure you do the labs on time, you will get far behind and not be able to catch up.

While difficult, she runs her class in a way that forces you to stay on top of your work. Pre-quizzes before class, labs that build on the previous, and post-quizzes all make for a tough class. IF YOU READ, YOU WILL PASS (with a decent grade). If you don't you will struggle. I didn't for the first couple weeks and struggled until I began reading.

Pre-quizzes before every class force you to be prepared. Frequently has in class quizzes as well, so you always know what material you are strong and weak on. Very helpful via email or office hours, and tests are mostly straight from the quizzes and programming assignments.

Dr. Norris runs a tight ship. If you come to class, do the reading, do the work by the time they're due, YOU WILL PASS THIS COURSE. I've learned TONS with her, but I've had to work my butt off too. You know what to expect with Dr. Norris as well, quizzes can be somewhat difficult, but you will do well on the tests because of them.

Professor Norris is the queen of pre-quizzes. She is helpful when you go to office hours, but doesn't cover the pre-quiz questions at the end, so it's useless filling it out. Tests were way to close to the end of the semester as time ran out. Nice butt.

Dr. Norris is one of my favorite professors. She knows what she is talking about and knows how to teach it well. Don't take her class expecting it to be easy, however, Dr. Norris and Dr. Fenwick are by far two of the best professors in the department. She's a little lady, but super scary at times, don't worry, she only wants the best for you.

A difficult class, but she manages to teach it fairly well. Is willing to bend lab deadlines if the class is having trouble, and the labs themselves were rather fun, if tricky (buffer overflow, ect). You have to study a bit for the tests, but they're nothing like, say, Jacker's :-p
