Claire's intentions are fair, but it is not expressed well among many of her students. Sometimes, projects can be frustrating due to lack of clear instructions and she often changes her mind on critiques. But this is not uncommon for art teachers. If you plan to take this class, be prepared (materials), expect changes, and ask questions. Easy A.

Very unclear about what she wants you to do. Constantly changing her mind about her projects making it very confusing for you to understand the projects. No respect for students, and expects them to know everything, in an intro class. Would not take her class again if I have a choice.

She's a nice person and great artist but not as great instructor. Directions and assignments weren't clear. Tried to be that teacher that was nice but strict, but failed, just kinda awkward.

Prof Lieberman is pretty out there. She's a nice person, but an awful instructor. Her "suggestions" are more like demands, her instructions are completely unclear, and her overall personality has gone from semi-spacey to absolute loony. 3D funds with her is less "creating art" and more "building a model to her directions".

Least clear course ever. If you have a question, be prepared to wait an hour well she goes off on tangents, and then there's a 50/50 chance you'll have had your question answered. Also, her grading scale is awful. I got close to 90% on all the assignments, and still got a C in the class.

Claire is the worst teacher I have ever had. She repeatedly demonstrates a lack of knowledge in every area of sculpture, and gives bad advice to every student. She also sugar coats ALL of her critiques, and treats all of her students as if they were children who know very little. If you seek an intelligent teacher with respect for you and a clear brain, do not take a class with her. The only thing she is good for is editing anything you've written.

this instructor does not care about her students, i was very dissappointed with her lack of careing and knowledge. It is easy to tell that she does not like being in the classroom and her knowledge of materials is wanting. I understand that she recently got tenure, who in their right mind approved.

I had Claire for 2 classes, 3-D Fund and Sculpture. She is an ok teacher, very paranoid about safety, but she is an easy A. Well at least for me, I got an A in both classes. As long as you do the work and look like your trying, she'll be easy on ya.

I feel that Claire has ran this class very poorly and while her art career was advancing the career of her students were suffering. She was absent more than she was there. I feel that I was cheated in this class I if I was not graduating I would retake it
