she is very willing to meet with students and is very sweet but no matter how hard I tried on papers or how much help I got on them from better writers I still could not get over a C. Everyone I know in the class has not been able to get over a C on the papers no matter how good a student. She doesn't do exams which is nice, but tons of work.

She is a great teacher and you learn a lot through her lectures however her grading on assignments is unreal. She mentions multiple times that she has a law degree and its obvious through her grade rubric and grading style. She grades harder than any English teacher I've ever had. I only recommend to history majors...

One of the hardest teachers I've ever had. However, her class is doable. Do the extra credit (I have about 70 points in extra credit). Take the time to talk to her in office hours, she will help you! The class has 6 quizzes w 2 dropped, 2 papers (3-5pg) and final (7-10pgs). Very tough grader but will allow rough drafts and rewrites! Put in the work

Terrible class. She cares about the material, and there are no tests, but she grades ridiculously on the papers. She asks you to read several books back to back. Her lectures are relatively pointless, since you only need to know the material for the three papers you write. I had a 4.0 and had to P/NC this class. DO NOT take this class.

Dr. Sanders is an amazing professor. Do the assignments, participate in class, and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. She allows you to turn in a rough draft and rewrite the papers for a higher grade. It's incredibly hard, but you can make an A in this class, just don't expect it to be handed to you. Plus she is hilarious and more than willing to work with you.

while she is passionate about this course, its very hard to please her. no tests but online reading quizzes that she grades very harshly. 2 papers duirng the semester plus a final paper. half the class dropped because of bad grades. only take if you have a PNC left . you know how teachers say there is no dumb questions, well in her class there is

While Dr. Sanders is passionate, she is unclear about course expectations. WEM class so heavy writing but does not grade clearly or explain why you received the grade. HARD GRADER. No one in this class received over an 85. This is a core credit but should be for HISTORY MAJORS ONLY. Changes her mind on your work- approve one day, fail you the next

Only take this class if you have a PNC to spare. The class is interesting but she teaches this class like a senior level history major course rather than a freshman level core. Over half the class dropped out after failing every online quiz and assignment. Nice lady but unrealistic expectations.

Dr. Sanders is an amazing professor and even though the class requires A LOT of reading and time, the work is definitely worth it. She lets you do multiple drafts of each essay and provides intensely detailed feedback. She gives lots of chances for extra credit so make sure you do it. Participate in class and do well on the final paper for an A.

I took this class once before and dropped after the very first lecture . However, I take it again this semester as a 3-hour course a week. We did a lot of open-discussion and Dr. Sanders told a lot of interesting stories. A lot of extra credit to back up your quiz. Writing took major points but she allowed drafts and gave really good feedback.

The entire class consists of two essays, a large fiction paper, and a few online assignments (Quizzes/Discussion Boards) This class has made me a better writer. Although there are a lot of essays, she allows you to submit a rough draft and a re-write for each essay. Also, there is lots of extra credit available.

I was a freshman at TCU, who loved European History, and was so excited for this class. On the first day, my stomach dropped at the workload I'd have. as the semester progressed, I realized just how amazing she is. Her lectures are engaging, the papers are doable, and she gives ample extra credit options. She truly cares about her students

Dr. Sanders is great and teaches you history in a very entertaining way. The 1879-present class is very tough, if you take it prepare to read a TON and to get a c- in a paper you though was great.

Avoid this professor, she never updates your grade through the semester, so don't know what your grade until the end. There are 2 papers that are 3-5pages with a final that is 7-10 pages. She does let you rewrite the first two for a better grade and offers extra credit but she tears papers to shreds. If you thought you were a good writer, beware.

The best professor I've had a TCU. She is a tough grade but only because she wants you to be a better writer. You can rewrite your papers (with her help) basically until you get an A. She expects you to work but also cares so much about you and helping your succeed. Cannot recommend her enough!

One of the best Professors at TCU! She is a tough grader but she gives a lot of Extra Credit and allows for rewrites in order to boost your grade up. She goes above and Beyond for her students. I have a much greater chance to get my dream job because of Dr. Sanders.

She is a great professor because she respects her students and works with them tirelessly. Take as many classes as you can with her! Expect to work hard, but also expect to become a better writer!

Dr Sanders is a great teacher, but her grading is subjective, and her class consists of three papers so that's what counts. Fortunately there are rewrites so you can correct your mistakes and get points back for corrections
