She is easy but very boring. She also teaches like a high school teacher because she makes you have assigned seats. She makes participation 15% of your grade, but she spends the whole time talking, so there is not much time to participate. Her tests are REALLY easy, if you read the notes, you will be fine!

Dr. Confer is the best history teacher I've had so far at UF. Her test aren't easy, but I've gained a greater understanding of history through her. I recommend anyone who has to take a history class, take Confer. You'll love history as much as I do when you leave. I promise. Must love to read though...she has a lot of reading assignments.

Dr. Confer is an amazing teacher. I never liked history until I came to her class and I left loving it. She prepares you well for all of your tests. There is nothing hard to the class. If you pay attention in lecture and study for the tests, you'll be fine. She covers everything on the test in lecture.

Dr. Confer is amazing! Best professor I've had at UF. I HATED History before I took this class, and now I LOVE it! It's a lot of reading and writing but I never found any of it boring. I enjoyed doing the work in this class. Also, the tests are essays but they shouldn't be a problem because she covers the material and prepares you very well!

really liked Dr Confer. she was really fun in class and made it interesting. knew the material very well and taught it in a manner which we would easily understand and remember. tests weren't bad at all. i enjoyed the class and think she's an awesome prof... which is why i'm currently signed up for another class of her's just cuz she's teaching it!

I HATE history, but somehow she made lectures interesting and easily kept my attention. She was very clear and moved the lectures along well. Exams were exactly as she said they would be, no surprises.

She is a good teacher, take lots of notes. The reading material is really boring. Find out about your TA before hand because they are the ones who grade your papers and test. They can make or break your grade. Unfotunately I got a really bad TA that gave me 75 on all my papers.

For a 2000 level history class, she was a good teacher. The tests weren't too bad if you studied. The tests were from the lecture notes, so go to class or at least copy notes from someone. You didn't really need to read the book. I thought she was a good professor.
