A very nice lady, and interesting material, but her teaching was scattered. She wants her opinions in your papers, not your own thoughts. Told me a thesis doesn't have to be contestable. An easy class if you write and say what she agrees with, can be frustrating if you don't.

Professor Ross is very nice and helpful. Her class was very easy but demanding while you are in class to make sure that you are participating and learning. Everything was easy and manageable, and you will definitely learn a good amount of Chinese from her.

Amazing that they gave this woman a doctorate in Chinese, when she can't be bothered to learn to speak it properly. One of the very few professors I've ever met who came across as an airhead.
