Took Calc 1 in Spring and Fall and got a D both times. Took it only with Queen and got an A. If Calculus isn't your thing, take it online with Queen. He curves the grades so everyone passes. My grade was about a 75 and I got an A.

Queen is definately not a very good professor. He is extremely nice though, and the class is just so easy. I got pretty worried for the first 4 o clock because I couldnt solve many problems from the book, but when I got there I was so relieved. He literally includes de easiest problem for each chapter.

Queen is an absolutely adorable professor who shouts obscenities with more clarity than Calculus. His handwriting is poor. His explanations are confusing. He can't really teach you much, but I'm sure he would have been amazing 20 years ago. (He is still pretty brilliant) Regardless, stick with memorizing the practice exams, then the class is cake.

Joke and a half of a class. Speaking of jokes, his are pretty bad. Completely incoherent. It seems like he knew what he was doing once upon a time, but it appears as though old age has taken it out of him. For all the weight he puts on algebra, the mistakes he makes on the board are rediculous. If you've taken AP Calc, the 4 o'clocks should be easy

This was the third semester calc (in 1980). Professor Queen was smart, laid back, rose-colored glasses. Could explain things if you could get him to stay in the classroom long enough. Never did get my final back: "Iprobably lost it in a puddle somewhere...Don't worry, I'll get you a grade".

oh dear..here's the deal with Queen - if he's teaching the 8am course don't take him. He's not a bad professor when it comes to his review section, but watch out if he tells you that something won't be on an exam. Tests aren't bad, lectures are pretty unclear. This guy is unbelievably smart, but can't teach jack.i learned everything from the book, because the chalkboard made NO sense.he just gives a lot of As even when nobody understands anything. sometimes humorous, but for the most part, he is confusing, random, and sometimes even unprepared for class.

This guy is a freaking joke. I took AP calc in high school and I am sure I know more about calculus than this guy. If you didn't take calc in High school you are f***ed. If you did take it in high school don't bother going to class.
