Comment:

Good guy, he will make you laugh in class, and cry and curse your existence while you work on the assignment. Overall, I got a lot of value for the money, I felt that the difficulty of each assignment was slightly beyond my immediate reach. Take him if you want to understand and learn.

Loved him! He does a great job explaining topics in layman's terms -- his lectures are interactive and informative. He is also super funny. The homework assignments will push you, but aren't unreasonable, and he is always willing to point you in the right direction if you show him your code.

Great professor but anal about neatness/work! Easy material but not an easy A. Quizzes every week which arnt hard; lab projects every 3 weeks; Midterm and Final, which is cumulative. If you have the time for this class, I would recommend it; however, if you have a tight schedule and need a lab class, this might not be the best choice.

The professor is nice but do not take this class if you have alot of other course work. There are quizzes every monday, time consuming assigments due wendsday and labs due every 3 weeks. Very anal about neatness- so again, if you will be in a hurry to get work done, DONT take this class. Not very easy. But nice guy?

Very Very helpful, clear, nice powerpoints. give extra credit, lots of work though, but worth it. Good professor ever at Depaul. One thing is, he could remember everyone's name in class within 2 weeks. Awesome professor! also, he will never give up some lower grade students. he will keep you up.

This is the first time Prof.Besana taught GPH259. His lectures were very good, and he explained everything very well. However, the homework took an EXTREEMLY long time. Be ready to spend 2-3 hours on homeworks and 5-6 hours on projects. Then again, this is a lab class. Good teacher, but lots of homework.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! He sucks at teaching Java on an intermediate level. His howework assignments are very hard, and he doesnt explain all the material needed to get the homework done properly. Only 4 people passed his class out of 25 enrolled, so go figure. HE SUCKS!

Awesome! Explains things well so that you will understand. Don't listen to the post that says you will fail if you didn't take IT130. I never took an IT course in my life and I got an A in the class! You just need to enter the class with the sincere willingness to learn and study.

Great instructor. He is very clear and you will learn a lot! Great choices for assignments and programming projects. Lectures are interesting/intense. I guarantee you won’t fall asleep! Please don’t take this class if you are not a CS student, or if you haven’t taken IT 130. YOU WILL FAIL!
