Seems to know his material decently, but his lecturing ability is quite lacking, and more importantly, he is incredibly pompous, aloof, and rude to students. Don't expect any special attention from him nor for him to go out of his way to be nice or to make sure you understand the material.

He was my advisor in the 1980s, and I took a herd of courses from him. He terrified me... but was an incredibly knowledgeable, organized professor. I've gone on to get a PhD. He knows his stuff!
