This is a simple easy class. No textbook or reading. No quizzes or assignments. Just 2 tests and 2 papers. He is clear about his grading and not a harsh grader. He knows a ton about parenting and child development. However, because theres no readings attendance is mandatory & where all the info on the tests come from. I enjoyed this class!

Dr Robinson obviously knows a lot about cognitive development. However, there is no textbook and his lectures aren't always super clear. He uses a lot of videos, and tells a lot of the same stories to exemplify various concepts. He's a great guy, but not a super inspiring lecturer.

Not a hard class or a hard teacher, but he talks about himself a LOT. Tells the same stories again and again. Thinks very highly of himself and his family, seems to think poorly of many other people. Tells stories of how he thinks he can tell other parents what to do because he has a PhD. Really don't like his personality, but easy class.

This class was very easy. You show up, you pass. He's very chill about everything, and although he assigned a couple of long papers, he's not a harsh grader. He tells helpful stories and the tests were not hard at all.

I disliked his class. It was long and he shared too many stories. The tests weren't difficult but his questions were confusing and left my score very low. It was hard to contact him, and he wasn't very welcoming with talking, he wasn't easily approachable. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but critical to the grade because of lectures. I was

Dr. Robinson's class is interesting, but it's long and full of side stories. There's not a lot of class discussion, he mostly talks at you for two and a half hours, but his class is very easy. There are a few papers, but you basically have to complete them on time and he'll give you a 100.

He takes a whole class period to go over 20 minutes of material. So many stories and side notes. but the tests are easy enough, 50% from lecture and 50% from textbook. show up and try not to fall asleep. he gives extra credit based on attendance.

The course material is very interesting, but this professor makes lectures drag. His voice is very monotone. He might crack a few funny jokes here and there or show funny or cool videos, but you don't even really need to go to class because the papers are easy topics and he gives you study guides that are exactly what's gonna be on the tests.

You get extra credit if you have less than 3 or 4 absences, sorry I don't remember, but that was really nice. As long as you pay attention in lectures and do the study guide, you'll do okay, but group study sessions always help to discuss topics.

Dr. Robinson is a very nice guy but the course material is largely common sense and the lectures are extremely boring. He provides study guides that make up all you need to know from the textbook (which is 50% of the test) and other 50% is from his lectures, so just try not to fall asleep.

Very mediocre teacher, but easy class w/ some effort. Lectures are SLOW & dry, but I found the subject very interesting anyway. He's kinda rude sometimes & rather old-fashioned, but I think he MEANS well. 3 papers (easy); 4 tests non-comp(90 ?'s mult choice). Attendance not mandatory, but will help on tests; he doesn't post slides. Great textbook.

Boring. Lectures are monotonous and you can learn anything you need to know for the tests from slides alone. Attendance is required. Only use the book for open book quizzes-they are super easy. Research paper requires no thought but is time consuming. More interested in format than content. Overall, avoid this class if you care about learning.

Takes attendance. Very soft spoken, but tells interesting/helpful stories. Only 3 assignments which are papers, easy grader, probably doesn't read them. 4 tests total, final exam not cumulative. 50% test questions from class, others from textbook (study guide in syllabus). Don't need to read the textbook, just use it to fill out study guides.

I just attended the first lecture for both Robinson and Galbraith, and Galbraith was MUCH more engaging. Apparently Robinson's coursework is easier, though, if you want an easy A.

Not the best class, but doable. The only reason you need the book is for the open book "quizzes." Research paper is pretty easy, but time consuming. Tests are pretty difficult. I recommend a study group. Not the most interesting or engaging teacher, but part of it may have been the time of day (late afternoon class).

Pretty boring class. He's a nice dude but the only reason I signed up for this is because it was the only SFL class that fit my schedule. Testbook "quizzes" are super easy, but he always docks points off of mine. Research paper. Test was long and hard, I even studied a lot... Pretty mediocre in general. My mind always wanders cuz it's boring

The only problem I had with this class is that it was 2 1/2 hours long (summer term). Other than that, it was super easy. Buy the syllabus; it has a notes outline AND a study guide to use with your book that 50% of the questions come from. Final isn't cumulative. Dr.Robinson can get a little droning, but with a 50 min. class you'll be fine.

His papers are super easy to get 100% on- I doubt he even reads them all the way through honestly. He grew on me with his lecturing style. I didn't do too well on his tests but thats just because I suck at tests- they are definitely bearable.

This class is easy, I took it over the summer and I failed the first test. Then I walked up to him after class one day and asked him if he ever lets people retake tests and he said sure! After retaking it I got a much higher grade and did way better on all other tests. If you actually listen and take notes the class is easy.

He's basically a goofball. He's an easy easy teacher who, yes does have a boring lecturing style, but when he cracks a joke, they're pretty funny. I liked his 120 class cuz it was interesting material so i suggest taking it. Easy A if you study his worksheets and at least listen to his lecture. he'll add a question or two on the tests from it.
