Comment:
Dr. Leibotwiz was a well of knowledge, explains concepts well, and is an interesting lecturer. She does sometimes ramble or repeat herself but it isn't a big factor. This class was super easy and 70% of people didn't even go but it's a lot easier to do the take-home tests, if you do go to lecture, especially after the midterm.

She is nice. I wouldn't say that she is a bad professor. She is kinda confusing sometimes, but you see she is trying her best. I like the material she brings to class: texts, videos and a pretty fun card game to demonstrate how the scientific method is structured.

I'm a philosophy major and she's the worst philosophy instructor I have had in my three years thus far in college. Avoid her if you want to learn something. Take her if you want an easy A.

I'm a 4.0 GPA philosophy major. This is the worst professor I've had in my academic career. Her lectures are worthless, her classes are a waste of time - enough that I came here to post about her. Avoid Flo Lebowitz if at all possible.

I really liked her. She was so nice and helpful. Sometimes she seemed to run on about a topic and get hooked into a conversation with one person, but otherwise she listened to what everyone had to say and didn't seem bias to her own opinion. I would take another class from her.

She does not understand the subject she is teaching, is scatter brained, cannot lead discussions, has misconceptions about the material she teaches, gets side tracked onto things that are pointless. It's painful. Being in the class is absolutely frustrating.

Any 400-level class in which a high schooler could get an A is not a worthwhile class.

she is definitely different, but if you do the reading on the study guides you should be fine on the tests. the lectures are boring and uninformitive but you have to go because there are in class assignments and homework that is due in class. there isn't very many points total in this class, so missing assignments can really bring down your grade

She often has a hard time understanding the students, but she does give brilliant responses to both the misunderstandings and on the rare occasion she gets what's being asked/commented/etc. She's definitely "different" but a nice lady and a great teacher.

This Prof is very nice, and very smart. I am not a Philosophy major, but I didn't end up feeling intimidated in class. She is hard on the writing, but will work with you on the first essay test to help you pull the grade up. I learned as much about writing and clarifying my arguments as I did philosophy, which was great.

Extremely boring lectures. I had a really hard time understanding what she was trying to get across. Dissapointing because I thought philosophy would be more interesting. BUT her tests are really easy and straightforward, as long as you do the reading.

Class wasn't nearly as interesting as I thought it was going to be, but easy to get an A in. No tests, just three essays. Don't even try to ask questions, she won't understand them. LOL But she's sweet.

She totally fits the description of an absent-minded professor. But she is so approachable and helpful. Everything she does is well-intentioned. Sometimes you could fall asleep during her lectures, but she always has discussion. Anyone could get an A or B in the class.

Easy class if you pay attention at all and/or know anything about art history. She tends to get too caught up in little details and will trail sentences into mumbles. But she knows her stuff and challenges questions if you feel compelled to ask any.

This course easy for me. I learned more in this class than i ever did in any other class. She doesn't make anything hard because she explains it well. Some lectures are boring but i think the book is more boring than the lecture.
