He's just so cute, and you can tell he loves what he does. Midterm, final, and term paper.. thats it, and he allows you to redo the paper for a better grade. Must go to the review sessions before exams, he tells you what he want to hear! Do the review questions to they also help. He's very helpful and tries to help if you ask.

Great Professor! Rutgers need more like him. A midterm, paper, and final. I ended up with a B+ and hardly put too much effort into the class except around exam time. Make SURE you go to the review session class. What he wants to hear in the essays and short answer on the exams come from that session!

I really wish there were more Professors teaching in the style Dr. Beer teaches. He has so much knowledge and is so willing to share them with his students. Although attendence is optional, the amount of knowledge present in his lectures are beyond the class itself. Dr. Beer is the BEST... and really he should've been teaching in an ivy league

Beer is really awesome, although so freaking boring! You really don't have to go to class. Just go for the term sheet he uses for the midterm and the review class. Great guy but bring a pillow.

Prof Beer rocks! you will love this man and his british accent. He is very kind, often he will allow you to redo your paper or exam depending on the grade. There is a midterm 10%, a term paper, and a final. No attendance. and take my advice GO TO THE REVIEW CLASS for the exams!!!.

Love love LOVE this man. Kinda like the grandpa I never had. He is really helpful, and it is refreshing to see someone invested in their field. Notes are important. He doesn't make attendance mandatory, but you will have a hard time with the exams if you dont attend class because pretty much they consist of defs. and essays. He's a very smart man!

Excellent Professor!! I had him for Hist of Mod View points and Comparitive Psych and I loved all of it. He really knows his stuff and is pretty famous. He is more of a bio prof but he is enjoyable, fair, and will help you out. people had a bad take on him bec he dont take attendance so they dont go to class so they didnt do so well..go figure. A++

Great professor.. really takes the time to talk to his students, shows a real interest in learning and hopes to get students involved.. a lot of students don't come to class.. but i assume they are passing just fine.. class is more intimate with less people there.. He is charming and takes material that is otherwise dry and boring and makes it interesting. Even though he indulges in old-fashioned lecturing he absolutely enjoys and responds to any students interjections or questions. Make sure you read the book and show up for review. Doesn't try to make the dry material any more difficult than it can be.
