Prof Cohen is a great woman, and she's funny and caring toward her students, but the class itself was not my favorite. There was a ton of reading, and if you're not a fan of discussion-based classes this isn't for you

CoCo is very passionate about what she does, and is a very patient and humourous lecturer. Her assignments are fun to do, and she obviously makes an effort to make the class as interesting as possible. She's also one of the warmest and most open people you'll meet on campus, and actually inspired me to consider a major in anthropology.

I loved Colleen!! She was able to illuminate dense reading and give it clarity as well as interest. She is really a cool person, who is fun to talk to and has a great sense of humor. She is a great teacher for this class, and is always helpful and down to listen to crazy ideas. It's hard to believe anyone could write anything negative

I don't understand why Prof. Cohen has any negative ratings. I appreciated her moderate slant on analyzing pop culture, which was refreshing for a women's studies course. She would restrain students from bashing on concepts like breast implants to make sure no one in the class would be offended by such remarks. Very intelligent. Great instructor.

I'm not sure why she currently has a green face and negative comments--I found her pretty good! Her courseload seems daunting at first, but if you get through it, the course turned into fun-group-project time! The course was stressful, which was natural. But she was always very understanding whenever I approached her.

A very friendly and approachable professor. She's very enthusiastic about the material we cover, and encourages all sorts of input, no matter how far-fetched or bizarre. I would not take a class simple because it is taught by Ms. Cohen, but if you are interested in Anthro or Media Studies, I would definitely recommend Ms. Cohen.
