She is awful. If you absolutely have to take her, you'll be fine but she is an extremely negative person. She acts like she hates teaching, hates you, and hates the world. She is somewhat knowledgeable but gives dreadful lectures. You have to take a ton of notes and even then, it's not entirely helpful.

Absolute worst professor I have ever had here at BW. She doesn't care about the students, lied to my face multiple times, gives special attention to women, isn't clear about what she expects for any papers or exams she assigns, and will go out of her way to not help a student in need. I recommend staying away from her if you can.

she had lectures but rarely would stay on topic for them. she would rarely help and was never in her office when said she would be. had to read 6 books and had 2 of them to take an exam on at one time. don't take her if you can. she is a hard grader and she acts like her class is the only class you have.

Just stay away from her. She has two sections of 121I and both of them have F averages. A test every week. Even if you put the work in it is rare to get an A. Way too much information and work for a 100 level intro class. We have to read 4 chapter books and the textbook.

Get ready to spend all your time on this class and STILL end up with a B (maybe if you're lucky). I think she thinks this class is a 400 levelAbout two people a test get A's. 5 get B's and the rest are C, D, and F's. There is a ton of reading, and a hard test at least once a week. She knows what she's talking about, but its so hard to do well.

Just stay far away from her classes if you value your sanity! We had 3 papers and 2 tests all due within a week of each other. And I heard other classes with her are worse! She just doesn't seem to care at all and has no passion for teaching. Not to mention she lied to me several times in and out of class.

Although her courses can be a bit over-whelming at first, Connie is a fantastic teacher who really does want you to do well ..she grades on improvement so once you get the hang of what she expects you can easily succeed in her class.

For the book exams, include as many details as possible. For the lecture exams, hit every single bullet point on the outline for that topic and you're golden. She doesn't care about whether or not it's a good essay, you just have to hit all the bullet points. She doesn't care if you do well and doesn't care if you're interested in the topic.

I'm currently on my third class with Dr. Evans and she's great. Yes, there is a lot of reading, but she uses novels and not textbooks. Her lectures are really interesting and she tells great stories. Just take good notes and read the books and you'll be fine.

I like Dr. Evans. She's nice and she can go on amusing tangents about her travels and experiences. Her class is lecture based, with 4 novels that you have to read. Tests on each novel and 4 sections of lecture. Take good notes, print out the outlines, and ask any questions that you need to. Just be prepared to memorize a lot of info! Good class.

Her classes are dull and not even factual most of the time. As a history major I'm appalled, I love history, and this is the hands down worst class and professor I've ever had in my academic career. She doesn't grade according to merit but artificially selects a grade to decrease grade averages class wide to meet the the optimum set by the college.

Dr. Evans is a brilliant woman. Her class is difficult, but very enjoyable. I am not a history major, but I actually look forward to going to history everyday! One of my favorite classes I have attended at BW. There is a lot of reading and the tests are all essay, but she allows you to send in preliminary essays. Getting an A is possible for anyone

Worst teacher I've ever had. Lazy, Discontinuous, Uninformed, Prone to tangents, misinformation, and forgetting her own course. She lied to my face and I believe she used unethical ways to penalize students so as to make it appear her course was difficult on paper. Hopefully, one day BW will see her for who she is, for students have no recourse T.T

Brilliant Teacher!!! She's difficult, but I learned a ton. Don't take this if you're lazy. Lots of reading and studying. If you show interest in improving, she'll take note. I got bumped to an A- from a B just from showing up to class all the time. I highly recommend this class!!!

Dr. Evan's class can be difficult. However, if you take advantage of her offer to read your essays before each exam, you will have no problem getting an A. This is college, your not going to be able to sleep and get A's anymore. Do the work, pay attention to her hilarious lectures, and you will have no problems with this brilliant woman.

Great professor. Uses novels instead of textbooks which makes for more interesting reading. All tests are essay based so be ready to write. Simply hilarious, often swearing and making innuendos. Doesn't like sheep. Very knowledgeable and all around pretty nice.
