he is funny and really nice (when he wants to be), but be careful with his classwork because he is very picky and wants you to read your cases as a story

Straight forward teacher, he expects you to come to class prepared and be ready for him to ask you questions about the HW. Weekly HW was easy, class discussions revolve around the HW. If you do good on the midterm he will make your midterm grade your final grade, if you need to improve your grade you can take the final. Extra credit option too.

Hes a cool guy, but the course is kinda tough. I never really learned how to do a case brief because all he would say was figure that sh*t out. He does pick on students so if you are shy & dont like stepping out of your comfort zone, I wouldnt recommend. Participation matters a lot. Just read the cases and youll be okay.

If you take the course online it is self taught the professor gives you an example on how to do the brief case. No slides nor presentations on the lesson for the week mainly the required textbook is your help.

Tough professor, not tough like you're going to stay up late doin hw or studying but tough as in he wants you to fully think about the answer you are giving and why you are giving that answer. He's a lawyer, so he wants you to think like one to better your way of thinking. Might seem intimidating but he's actually really cool and chill off topic

I think the word I would use to describe him is strange. He does pick students to stand/talk/get out of comfortzone, but helps critically think about things we should know about the govt. I always had a weird vibe with him, in the way he presented himself- extremely casual, unprofessional, and emails as text messages, so I just found it different.

He comes off rude when he picks on you to present the assignment in class. Also tries to be funny when it's not. His exams are based off him talking and the few things he has written on the board. Every week there is a few cases assigned for homework and the exam is also based off that. Most likely the passing grade you can earn is a B.

I looked forward to his classes every week! he does his best to teach you cases and apply the lessons to your everyday life. for anyone saying he "picks on students" honestly toughen up because he is only saying that for the sake of forming a discussion and provoking thoughts which he states at the very beginning. hes an awesome teacher take him!

He is hilarious. He likes to picks on students to participate but wants you to come out of your comfort zone. His class consists of historical cases, you have to analyze them and then he goes over it the next class session. Not a bad class but I liked his sense of humor. Class consists of a midterm and a final. He may provide extra credit, too.

He doesn't have a good teaching style and is rude and can be disrespectful. He could use the socratic seminar method better by encouraging debate and explaining before hand what to discuss. He instead likes to pick on people and manipulate the students to discuss. He does not take criticism well and because he is the professor he knows best.

Gallo is very intimidating at first. He really wants the class to talk, even about the most random things. He's actually pretty funny and once you talk to him and are cool with him, he's actually cool to talk to about anything. The only downside is he picks on people a lot. Other than that the midterm and final are super easy.

As much as I enjoy a laidback setting, Gallo would take 30mins to start class... 30mins you can use else where. He could be a butt but when you go to office hours he is pretty helpful. Downside, you don't really know what's your grade in class. Chill class but sometimes it's pointless to go.

Probably one of the most stressful classes ever. It seemed like a lot of students like him but personally, i didnt. He was sometimes rude & mean & always had to pick on someone which made class really uncomfortable at times. Also, he sometimes doesnt collect cases he assigns. the class really only consist of the midterm and final

Proffesor Gallo is one of the best proffesors at CSUN without a doubt, I took CHS 260 & CHS 202. You won't regret taking his class because he is first of all hilarious and he teaches you information that is actually useful and that is true for both classes he teaches. Just show up to class though because he covers everything during class.

Professor Gallo is by far the best professor I have taken at CSUN. He is hilarious and his lectures are very interesting. The class consisted of briefing cases on a weekly bases, 1 midterm and 1 final. He explains everything very well and is willing to help.

One of the best professors I've had at CSUN. He is hilarious and makes the class very entertaining. Teaches you life situations related to the law. One midterm and final. He clearly presents the information and prepares you very well for his tests. Would most definitely recommend him to anyone. The only bad thing is he's a Clippers fan haha.
