Dinos is my favorite class so far at Colgate. Connie gives a LOT of extra credit and easy ec at that. She expects you to do the reading and participate in class, but assignments are not unfair and tests don't have surprises. Makes a lot of dad jokes which lightens up the lectures, and she's super sweet during office hours.

I recommend taking a course with Professor Soja at some point. She makes her class very interesting regardless of the subject matter and really cares about the students. Just be sure to always come to class on time, being present is pretty important.

Hard, but clear about what she wants. Took the class expecting to suffer through with hopes of distinction, but ended up loving the class and looking forward to a 3 hours class on Thursday afternoons. Funny, interesting, engaging and nice.

She is one of those teachers that judges and grades you on her first impression, which in my case was incorrect. even if you earned a higher grade she uses her subjective grading (participation) to bring you down. does not grade on knowledge of subject matter.

Tests were somewhat difficult, but the two projects can really help your grade. Definitely need to read the textbooks closely if you want to ace the course. Lectures were pretty good and she is generally very nice when you ask questions.
