Took classes back in the 1980s before some of you were born. His book on Africa with Len Berry got the worst academic reviews I have ever read. I could not deal with his pedantry and lack of social commitment.

A waste of a class. At the beggining of the semester he told us that he had no desire to teach the subject and he proceeded to teach very poorly for the entire semester. Skip this guy if you can, if you can't, may god have mercy on your soul.

This is the only term Lewis is teaching stats; he's filling in, so I got lucky. He's a very nice guy, except that he seems to be ****. The class is very easy, and he's helpful, wants you to understand the stuff. I have no idea about his other classes though, but I've heard they're boring and hard.

Lewis is a really nice guy, although this first year seminar in land degradation was pretty bad but easy. Readings were assigned but no quizzes. A couple short papers and a long final paper, but nothing hard. Easy A, but wouldn't recommend. you will fall asleep. Nice advisor though!

While Prof Lewis likes to be helpful, the class itself (Weather, Climate and Landforms) sucks hardcore. Don't ever take it, stay away! His tests do not cover anything we discuss in class. Sometimes he makes sketchy comments.
