Comment:
All he does through out the class is read the powerpoints and barely elaborates and barely writes any examples on the board unless you ask him to. If you ask he will show you how it is done but doesnt go into great detail. You can literally go on blackboard and read the same thing he read all class.

If you can teach yourself the material then take him. If not, don't even bother. All Professor Linton does in class is read the chapter off of power points. He does not elaborate at all. I only went to class because he takes attendance.

He is a pretty laid back guy but you must watch him do the homework and practice the exact homework because he gives the same thing for exams, he just change the numbers. He gives 2 take home exams and you can google them to get the answers and you are exempt from the final if you get 3 As from the regular exam. PRACTICE THE HOMEWORK & A is surety

He expects students to put in work to pass, if you have taken Math 90 you can easily get most of this class. He will not specify things unless you ask him, which he is more than happy to encourage. All the negative feedback given is from lazy students who don't put in any effort. I didn't try too hard and managed an A, while taking 19 credits.

He is as bit tough and precise, however; very fair and give's many opportunities to earn a better test grade. My 2nd time taking statistics with a different professor and he was great. I got a C+ however; without the opportunity he has given, I would of failed. He is fair, wants students to succeed.

Makes it clear the first day of class that it's going to be hard, and it's going to take effort. Told us to say affirmations, to convince ourselves we like math. He truly wants to help students succeed and is a genuine person but it seems he's still figuring out how he can help different types of students. O'Brien is better, but he's still good

Warning: Worst teacher I have ever encountered! All he does is read PowerPoint slides with information straight from the textbook. Does not break anything down and does not do ANY problems on the board so you can get an understanding of how to solve the problem. Everything I learned was from tutoring! Consider yourself warned... DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!

Honestly worst math teacher at lehman. He only reads slides and refuses to help. He never takes attendance or collects hw and is always in a rush to end class. Its as if hes not even interested. If you can teach yourself dont take his class.

A very good teacher, you must show effort and let him get to know who you are and you should be fine. Tests are hard but he does provide study sheets. He does expect you to do hw and he does check it. Don't be on his sh*t list.

Didn't seem too interested in actually teaching the material outside going through some problems from the in-class worksheet. Class was far from impossible if you were willing to work hard. Effort = A, don't expect it to come easy (as any math class should be). Having a tutor for an outside explanation will help.

You're pretty much teaching yourself. He doesn't answer emails or voice mails. Waits until the last moment to post on Blackboard. Class consists of him reading slides that he clearly didn't make & barely answering questions. Doesn't collect hw or go over it. The only upside he lets you make up for bad grades.

Great guy if you do good in his class. Its a tough class if you do not do your math homework and study what you have learned in class. He has no patience for people who are lazy so come prepared and an A is easily obtainable. Bottom line: don't be lazy in this class, do your work.

Some days are better than others. He's sort of stuck up but if you try he's willing to help. If you say you'll be there for the study hall in A Co. basement YOU BETTER BE THERE... otherwise your credibility as a student and your grades just lost stability.
